PUBLIC HEARING RAMSEY TO~fN BOARD <br /> April 25, 1973 <br /> <br />The hearing was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, <br />Mr. Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Peterson, <br />Mr. Goodrich, attorney, and Mr. Tooker, planner. <br /> <br />This hearing was for the proposed new zoning code and map. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy stated we would go through the new zoning code book <br />to indicate to those present the changes that have been made. <br /> <br />6.1 Screening as definted in 6.1 may be required to enclose <br />any parking lot where it is necessary to preserve the esthetic <br />characteristics of the enighborhood. <br /> <br />Item A 6.10 "to cover all costs." <br /> <br />Page 26. Public sewer means municipal sewer facilities connected <br />to the Metro Sewer System. Check this out with Mr. Sha. <br /> <br />At this point Mr. Tooker explained the zoning map. <br /> <br />He asked if there were any questions from the audience. <br /> <br />Page 7. He askedif the notice given to property owners would be <br />mailed. The answer was that the government considers direct mail <br />to be sufficient notice. (Mr. Neilson). <br /> <br />Mr. Neilson: Page 13. He thought a change should be made in the <br />first paragraph - Change the word"realtor" to "sales person." <br /> <br />Mr. Lindsey: What is the reason for the c-1 areas and the 2!e <br />acre lots. This question was answered by Mr. Tooker. <br /> <br />Mr. Schaumberg wants his land left industrial and not returned to <br />residential zone. <br /> <br />Mr. Bullick: <br />him. <br /> <br />What is a percolation test: <br /> <br />This was explained to <br /> <br />Mrs. Clark: Would it be possible to zone it industrial up as far <br />north as her land is? There could be some commercial on Hy. #~7 <br />by rezoning. She objects to parks because she said there was a <br />fire hazard at parks. <br /> <br />Discussion on parks. Children need neighborhood parks in which <br />to play. They should not have to be bussed, transported, or have <br />to ride bikes across or along highways to get to parks. We need <br />signs for our parks. <br /> <br />Mr Fleissner: Discussed 2~ <br /> . ~ acres. He said the maps put out by <br />the Conservation Department are often inaccurate. He questioned <br />whether a-1 should be 2m <br /> z acres. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Miller: On Government lots 2 and 3, Sec. 2g, he wants <br />o go on record as objecting to the hig~ area on the Rum River <br />eing zoned c-1. He wants mt put in r-±. <br /> <br /> <br />
