REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD <br /> March 19, 1973 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. <br />Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Peterson, and <br />Mr. Goodrich, attorney. <br /> <br />Mr. Hopperstad was sworn in as supervisor by Mr. Peterson. Mr. <br />Roger Gotham was sworn in as treasurer. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy was elected chairman for the ensuing year on a 2 to 1 <br />ballot. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy requested Mr. Goodrich to check with Mr. Bean, the <br />attorney for Grow Township, about the pending legislation for which <br />we have been waiting for some time, in fact since our last meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy gave a resume of the minutes. He stated anyone wishing <br />to read them after the meeting could do so. Mr. Cox moved the <br />minutes be accepted as read. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Reimann gave a summary of the minutes of the last regular meet- <br />ing of the Planning and Zoning Commission on March 5th. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy thanked Mr. Barkuloo for the time and effort he has <br />put forth to attend well drilling meetings put on by the Minnesota <br />State Health Department in St. Paul and in this area. Mr. Barkuloo <br />reports back to us on these meetings. <br /> <br />Mr. Tooker was present and gave his report on the progress made by <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission and himself on the new zoning <br />code. There was discussion on Section a-1 along Highway #10 and <br />the railroad tracks. There was also a suggestion to change i-1 <br />northeast of the plat called Hunters Hill to make this residential <br />with a c-1 buffer zone around it. On page 3 change conditional <br />uses so they will need a special use permit. Section 7.3 is under <br />review and would be an addition to A. <br /> <br />Mr. Steenerson gave a report on the Park Board. The Lions Club <br />sold Christmas trees and they are now selling light bulbs to make <br />money for equipment for our parks. They will have a carnival at <br />the fairgrounds in June for this same purpose. We will send a <br />letter of thanks to the Lions Club for their work on behalf of our <br />parks. <br /> <br />Mr. Hopperstad gave a report on the work done by his committee. <br />The items they have been working on include: an ordinance on gar- <br />bage and trash, landfill subdivision ordinance, planting trees on <br />boulevards, change of fees on building permits, blacktopping 2" <br />mat with 150~ of the estimated cost to go into escrow for a year <br />or more until roads have been packed down properly, $30.00 clean <br />up fee after house construction, $100 per lot for park fund~ and <br />discussion on wells. <br /> <br /> <br />
