Mr. Murphy said he <br />felt Mr. Cox should be reimbursed for his plane ticket but Mr. <br />Cox said he did not want this. Everyone is grateful to Mr. Cox <br />for making this trip on behalf of the Township. <br /> <br />It was announced that Mr. George Magnuson, an operator for our <br />Townshi~ had passed away very suddenly on Monday, March 12th. We <br />wish to extend to Mrs. Magnuson our sincere sympathy. We appre- <br />ciate the fine job he did for our Township. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed. Klemish requested rezoning of 5 acres from agricultural <br />to commercial to be used for a grocery store on the corner of <br />167th Ave. N.W. and Highway #47. He brought the certified re- <br />ceipts for letters sent to the surrounding property owners with- <br />in 300 feet, informing them of this public hearing. Mr. Hopper- <br />stad moved we accept the recommendations of the Planning and Zon- <br />ing Commission and rezone this five acres, legal attached to these <br />minutes, from agricultural to commercial, but only to be used for <br />a grocery store. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson stated the School Board had asked for voter regis- <br />tration for the bond issue vote. The three days would be Thursday, <br />April 19, Friday, April 20, and Monday, April 23. The School Dis- <br />trict will pay for any additional personnel we may use. <br /> <br />Mobile Home Ordinance 73-1. Mr. Cox moved we adopt Sec. 376A <br />regarding mobile home structures. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Pigeon Bingo: Mr. Garnett L. Pettersen, 15665 Ramsey Blvd. N.W., <br />~21-2860, was present. Mr. Pettersen is president of the Pigeon <br />Fanciers of America and requested permission to hold a Buy-Sell- <br />Trade Days at his residence on April 28th and 29th. He said he <br />had checked this out with the Attorney General of the State and <br />with the Sheriff, Mr. Talbot in Anoka. Mr. Cox moved we grant a <br />permit for the Pigeon Bingo Days on April 28th and 29th to this <br />organization. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Peltzer requested a variance in order to use 1 acre to build <br />a house and then the balance of .7 of an acre would be put with <br />another 2 acre piece attached to this. This was recommended by <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission at their November 6, 1972 meet- <br />ing. Mr. Cox moved we grant this variance as recommended by the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission at their Nov. 6th, 1972 meeting. <br />Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />They are now putting in lights at the airport on Ramsey Blvd. <br />Mr. Scroggins was asked if he would check to see if the graveyard <br />could be moved because the trees there are a danger to the planes. <br />Mr. Goodrich said he would check out this information for Mr. <br />Scroggins. <br /> <br /> <br />
