REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD <br /> February 20, 1973 <br /> <br />Thd meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. <br />Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, James Peterson and <br />Mr. Munns~ attorney. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox gave a resume of the minutes of the last stated meeting. <br />Correction Mr. Gram instead of Mr. Graham; and Sunfish Lake Road <br />instead of Sunfish Lake Blvd.; page 4 1st paragraph, 8 townships <br />were invited to Cedar to the police meeting but only 7 came as <br />Grow Township was not represented. Mr. Hopperstad moved the min- <br />utes be accepted with these corrections. Mr. Cox seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. G~oodrich had stated that he did not feel we would need another <br />voting precinct for the annual election. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy explained about "Operation Identification" and invited <br />everyone to call the office to make arrangements for the use of <br />the engravers. He also explained about the program "Hue and Cry" <br />and hoped that the people in the Township would participate in it. <br />Mr. Murphy described the different calls the Sheriff's office had <br />made into the Township. <br /> <br />Mr. Reimann read the minutes of the last stated meeting of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission. On March 15th there will be a pub- <br />lic hearing on two requests for rezoning of land now residential <br />to commercial. <br /> <br />Mr. Hopperstad gave a report on the meeting held on February lOth <br />at Twin City Federal in Anoka on recreation areas along the Rum <br />River such as horseback trails, hiking trails, canoe stopping areas, <br />snowmobiling trails, etc. Ail of these trails would originate at <br />the fairgrounds. It might be five years before iris in operation <br />but they are making plans. <br /> <br />Mr. Tooker's Report: Three meetings have been held with Mr. Tooker <br />and others have been set up. The plan is tohave the zoning map <br />ready for the next Town Board meeting. The Town Board suggested <br />that more and better land be required from developers from this <br />point on for parks. <br /> <br />The Park Board will have a meeting next Monday night to discuss the <br />land available for parks and they will then write up a report for <br />the Town Board. <br /> <br />The secretary was instructed to write a letter to Mr. Ed. Fields, <br />County Commissioner about a park that is being planned at the fair- <br />grounds. Mr. Hammer is one of the people who is working on this <br />plan. <br /> <br />A folder for use by the Planning and Zoning Commission with regard <br />to new plats was discussed. Mr. Hopperstad moved we table this <br />matter until the April meeting. Mr. Cox seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
