REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD <br /> December 15, 1972 <br /> <br />The me, e,t:i.n.~ was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. <br />M~,t~h~T. Pre~ent were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hop.oerstad, Mr. Peterson and <br />Mr. Goodrich. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last stated meeting were summarized by Mr, Mur- <br />phy in view of the fact that all the Board had received a copy of <br />the min~t~s ~rior to the meeting. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Cox that the minutes be accepted with the <br />addition of the words "Town Hall." before the word "windows" ~n the <br />rebirth ma~rfframh. Seconded bM Mr. Hopnerstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooctr~ch st~0ted he will call about the bond which Mr, I,orentzen <br />was ~oin~ to nut up to clean un his nronerty in case of defanlt. <br />].b~.s hs,-~ still not been recei ved. <br /> <br />We b~ve received ,~ confirmation from the assessor, Mr. Ernie farsen~ <br />,~s¥~n? he will acce~t the position of assessor for Ramsey Toy.reship <br />for the ~fear 1973. <br /> <br />The ouent~on of the airplane han.6ers has been postponed until next <br /> <br />~r. Goodwich wrote the City o~ Anoka~bout the condition of the road <br />to t~n ]s~fi]] but so Far has mot had a reply~ <br /> <br />Re, mort by I'~r. We wi]_l be looking to create clusters of <br />ho~sin?. BI. so we will be looking to land use for snowmobi]..ing~ <br />horseback trails, ~iking trails, some possibly privately he]..d ~nd <br />some under public o~nershi~0. Will also be looking at towns~.~m houses <br />an~] ]_ow ~ncome housing. Housing density rather than housing types <br />deterroines this. A question was asked about multiple housing in a <br />rea~tenti~], area and the feeling that this should be determined be- <br />fore oeonle b~._ild a home and then build multiple housing next to <br />t~em. One of t~e larKest causes in the increase in housing cost is <br />the coat of the land. There were some question as to when utilities <br />wo~].~ be out in. Discussion on town houses or condominiums - where <br />t~e~f s~o~?].d be nut. Answer: This should be approached thn~ zoning. <br />Zo~n? is not retroactive. <br /> <br />Elementary School Site: The .m~.blication "Action" can be picked up <br />sbort!¥ after the School Board meetings in the entryv~ay of the Tec. <br />Center or anyone can be ~laced on the mailing list. Discussion on <br />t~e ~ossibility of buying land next to the proposed school site for <br />a fire hal.l, police department, recreation center, etc. for Psmsey <br />Tovmsb~m. Also the ~ossibility was discussed of having the school <br /> <br /> <br />
