Mr. Robert Strand, principal of Wi].son <br />School was nresen, t. He said he was very much. in favor of a community <br />school with a ~Mm, n]_ayf~round, and area for towm meetings and office <br />snace. Mr. Murphy asked the peosle present if they approved of this <br />idea. No ob,iections were voiced. Mr. Robert Strand will take Mr. <br />Les I~artin's place for the AdvisorM Committee meeting at the Tec. <br />Center on Tuesday, Dec. 19th, because Mr. Martin will be out of to~m <br />st that time. <br /> <br />Minutes of the last P].annin~ and Zoning meeting were read bM <br />Murmhy. <br /> <br />Mr. No~merstad moved that Mr. Allen Sorteberg and Mr. William Spring- <br />er be reaopointed to the Plannin~ and Zoning Commission. Seconded <br />by Mr. Cox. ~otion carried. <br /> <br />The doe ordinance will be revised at the next meeting. Someone has <br />asked to have a dog~ kennel. Mr. Wurm was appointed to meet with <br />the Town Board about the dog ordinance. <br /> <br />At the January meetin? someone from Anoka will come out to talk to <br />us about junk cars. <br /> <br />The mropertv owned by I'.rir. Hagen. wb.t.¢h is almost an i~.!and in the <br />Rum River vms ~iscussed. Anoka~wouZd be interested in this nPo- <br />hetty for a mark if federal, funds would be available. Possi$1y <br />Ramsey might be interested in this for a mark also. It was estimated <br />that, thfis piece of land would be about ]_6" acres. Mr. Springer will <br />tel[. our Perk Board about the matter. Mr. Springer said the other <br />three members of the board were difficult to contact because of their <br />workino' achedu]_es. Mr. Hurnhy asked if there were any volunteers for <br />the P,srk Board in the audience. Mr. Daniel MoriartM offered to serve <br />on this board. His phone number is ~2!-77~6. Mr. Ken Peterson, <br />15~O7 Hem,stite St. N.E., 1~27-38g~, volunteered. Mr. Larry Steener- <br />son, 1~,,50~.~, St. Francis B].vd. N.W., ~27-1855 also volunteered. <br /> <br />Discussion on a skating rink for the Township. Suggestion that we <br />have ~ ?erase or shed moved in for a warming house from an area where <br />hous~.nK _is beir? moved out to make way for highways. It was thought- <br />we could ?et the building for the mrice of moving it out here~ Check <br />with tbn insurance agent about insurance for such a program. <br /> <br />Tbe Townshin received a check for $~,682 which is our first payment <br />on tho, revenue sheri_n~ nroRram for the period January tb.n~. June of <br />]972. H~.
