REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD November 20, 1972 Mr. Tooker was present. He discussed the progress on the compre- hensive nlannin~ and there was discussion on the upcoming December 7th hearing. Discussion on request of CountM to change some street names. There will be a meeting December gth at 6:00 with Mr. Herrick, Mr. Tooker, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Reimann and Mr. Peterson. Mr. Tooker will be at the Planning and Zoning meet- in~ also that night at 8:00 p.m. The Tov~ Board meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chair- man, Mr. Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Peterson and Mr. Goodrich, Township attorney. Mr. Murphy gave a resume of the last stated meeting because so much time had been spent in reading the minutes due to the length of the meetings. The $200 has not as yet been received from Mr. Lorentzen and this matter should be looked into. Rods will be put on the /~/~g~windows to be made at the Tec Center. School site has been looked at by the school officials. A committee of Mr. Salmela, Mr. Petty, Mr. Dennis Anderson, Mr. Les Martin and Mr. Cox were looking at sites. Jaspar Street work has been finished. The landfill road is not maintained. We have a new sign in front of the Town Hall. Looks very good. We have purchased a grader and have it operating. Mr. Cox moved the minutes be accepted as provided. Seconded by Mr. HopDerstad. Motion carried. October 18th the October 16th meeting was reconvened. Mr. Cox gave a resume of this meeting. December 7th the continued incorporation hearinf~ will be heard at the Court House in Anoka in the Commission- ers' Room. The Municipal Commission may make a decision at that time as to whether we will become incorporated as a village or stay as we are. Mr. Cox gave a report on the meetings between Grow Town- ship, City of Anoka and Ramsey Township. The boundary between Anoka and Ramsey is the biggest ~oint of discussion. Caswell Caswell Associates is now the Consulting Engineers Diversified, Inc. of Osseo. Their contract was described which showed the responsi- bilities of both the engineering firm and the Township. Mr. Good- rich was asked to have another more specific contract sent to the Town Board for the December ~th meeting. Petty cash for the office was agreed upon by the Town Board. Mr. Norman Holm and Mr. Cable brought a bid on a 9 ton road for HM. #57 from the landfill entrance to County Road 5. It would be paid for in a three way split between City of Anoka, Anoka County and Rsmsey Township.
