Mr. Cox <br />moved we accept this preliminary plan contingent on CountM and State <br />approval and contingent on proper zoning. Seconded bM Mr. Hopper- <br />stad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />We won our case in court on the assessor's job so we now can hire <br />our ova. assessor. ~00 hours were put in last year on the assessing <br />job. Possibly 500 hours will have to be put in this year. Mr. <br />Hopperstad moved we pay our assessor $3,000 for 1973 work including <br />the mileage. 6,700 miles were put in by the Building Inspector be- <br />tween January 1st of this year and today. Seconded bM Mr. Cox. <br />Motion carried. The assessor said there were lgOO parcels of land <br />the last time he checked about three months ago. Mr. Larson said <br />he would ]et the Board. know in a few days if he would take the job. <br /> <br />VikinE Council - Mr. Berg: They want to place a mobile home on <br />the Boy Scout property in which to house a caretaker. Their plan <br />calls for a well and sanitary facilities. A mobile home has been <br />do~.ated to them. Fences have been badly cut up. The Boy Scouts <br />picked up a dump truck full of trash and debris left by tress- <br />passers, about three times a year. They plan to have acourtes¥ <br />canoe base. Mr. Goodrich asked how temporary this would be for <br />the mobile home. They said they wanted to use it for 18 months. <br />Mr. Goodrich checked out the ordinance and said 90 days was all <br />it could be issued for. Mr. Hopperstad moved we give the Viking <br />Council a special use permit for a mobile home to be put on the <br />Boy Scout property for a term of 90 days pursuant to Sec. 2-D of <br />the mobile home ordinance. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />E-V Builders - report on road inspection for Whispering Pines and <br />Whisperin~ Pines Plat #2. Mr. Cox moved we accept the roads in <br />these two plats in Sec. 20, Township 32, Range 25. Tomorrow mor- <br />nin~ they will bring in a Time savings certificate for $10,000 for <br />a maintenance bond for these two plats. Mr. Hopperstad seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. Certificate is to be made out to the <br />Ramsey To~ Board and E-V Builders. <br /> <br />There has been a request for info,nation about building hangers on <br />the airport west of the Dicken. son Bus Lines. They want to bmild <br />hameers for their own use and for rental. The Building Inspector <br />was asked to find out what permits they need. Check it out with <br />the State. <br /> <br />Mr. Chester reviewed the insurance on the buildings here and up- <br />dated the policies. <br /> <br />Report by Mr. Auspos on the police meeting at Majestic Oaks on <br />Nov. 16t~. Eight other townships were at this meeting including <br />Linwood, Oak Grove, Burns, Grow, Columbus, Ham Lake and Ramsey. <br />There are 30,000 people in these areas. A joint police depart- <br />ment wou].d cost $650,000 a year 'or $12.O0 per person increase in <br />taxes, the first year; $1~.00 the second year and $16.O0 for the <br />third year. This would be a 30 man department with 2g hour patrol. <br />Other areas were e~plored and it was decided to hold off doin~ any- <br /> <br /> <br />
