Mr. Talbot would <br />~ive us an eight hour man with a car and theM would take care of <br />all other expenses for $20,000 a year. City of Anoka said they <br />would furnish 12 hour patrol daytimes with evenings on call; or <br />furnis~h one car with three men and also furnish detective work and <br />any other expenses. They are checking on the cost. <br /> <br />Bad condition of road leading to the landfill: We have a bid from <br />an asphalt contractor. Anoka is willing to pay from the KANO Road <br />to the landfill. We should make an effort to give this highway to <br />the County from HM. #10 to HM. #5 because there is a great deal of <br />through traffic on this road. Mr. Cox moved we contact the County <br />to make every effort to transfer this road from Industry Ave. to <br />County Road #5. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />After December 1, 197~ all assessors must be certified. Certifica- <br />tion requirements will take about two years. Mr. Larson said he <br />would be going to at least one day of the Property Short Course <br />which will be given at St. Cloud. Mr. Hopperstad moved that the <br />Town Board ~ay for the short course for the assessor. Seconded by <br />Mr. Cox. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Oerald Mausolf complained about the $. E. Welsh place five <br />years a~o and finally moved because of it. Mr. Kenneth Weber has <br />complained about the junk cars on this property. Mr. Murphy said <br />he would write a letter to Mr. Welsh informing him that his ~ro- <br />~erty will have to be cleaned up. There was a complaint for the <br />same reasons on the Jerry Root property and another at 153rd and <br />Rhinestone. The owner just sold this property and Mr. Goodrich <br />was asked to write a letter to the new owner of this property <br />across from Spruce Haven informing him this property must be cleaned <br /> <br />NSP Transmission Line: "There will be approximatelM 5.5 miles of <br />line constructed in Ramsey Township. The appearance of this line <br />will be identical with the line that is there now and there will <br />be approximately 800-9OO feet between structures. They intend to <br />secure an additional 90 feet of right of way for a total right of <br />way of 2~O feet. The 90 feet will be secured by means of an ease- <br />ment negotiated individually with the various property owners. <br />Any dama?es incurred by the property owners will be compensated <br />for ~.fter proper claims are submitted to NSP." <br /> <br />Budget: Mr. Cox moved we pay the penalty on the March 1972 figures. <br />Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Park Board: ~ volunteers and a chai~nan have been received. Mr. <br />Bill S~rin~er is the chairman and the board are Kay Nelson (male), <br />Mel James Jr., and Gerald Mausolf. We should write a letter tell- <br />in~ them we appreciate their interest in serving on the park board <br />and thst they have been accepted for this position. <br /> <br />Mr. Maas wants a sign on Garnet Street. The one that was there <br />disappeared two months a~o. Sign is to be replaced. Mr. Cox <br />moved we go to a heavier post for street signs. Seconded by Mr. <br />Hop~erstad.
