REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD <br /> October 16, 1972 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:10 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. <br />Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Peterson, and <br />Mr. Goodrich, Township Attorney. <br /> <br />Pledge of allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of the last stated meeting were read. Corrections: Addition <br />page 3 "for the grader"~ voting to "voter registration", "the next" <br />to "that", Leroy Bearl to Lloyd Bearl, page g "October" to "September" <br />page 5, "bids on 161st Ave. West", add: "developers contribution to <br />parks." <br /> <br />Mr. Cox moved the minutes be accepted as corrected. <br />Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Seconded by Mr. <br /> <br />Mr. Reimann read the minutes of thel ast stated Planning and Zoning <br />meeting. <br /> <br />It was suggested that Mrs. Guy find the best buy she can on a cabinet <br />for the plats for the Township office. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox moved we accept Riverwood Hills Plat 2. <br />Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Seconded by Mr. <br /> <br />Moratorium: Mr. Murphy read the ordinance on the moratorium. It <br />is to be completed within $ months. Mr. Goodrich explained the mor- <br />atorium to the people present. Mr. Cox moved we accept this ordi- <br />nance as written. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motor Vehicle bids: Geo. T. Ryan Co. bid on one Webco Model ~g <br />Grader with plow and wing f.o.b. Ramsey $38,905.00; Caterpillar <br />big on #130 motor grader with plow and wing $38,273.80. Mr. Cox <br />moved we table this matter until Wednesday at the Town Hall. Seconded <br />by Mr..Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan: Mr. Tooker and Urban Planning are being con- <br />sidered for planners during the moratorium. No funds are available <br />from the state for this planner. <br /> <br />Police Protection: Mr. Bill Foote, Chief of Police for Ham Lake <br />Township discussed having a joint police program for four to seven <br />communities. Ham Lake is inviting the surrounding townships to meet <br />at Majestic Oaks to discuss such a program, the date not yet determined. <br />Discussion about a volunteer citizens group of 30 auxiliary officers <br />to enforce our own ordinances and speed laws. <br /> <br />Gun Ordiance: Grow To~mship's gun ordinance has this provision, <br />anyone who owns 10 acres of land or more can get a license for $2.00. <br />Mr. Gary Reimann was asked to have the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />make a study of a gun ordinance. Mr. Goodrich will supply some more <br />sample ordinances. <br /> <br /> <br />
