Au~iust 21, 1972 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mr. Murphy, Chairman at 8~00 <br />p.m. Present were Mr. Cox~ Mr. Scarborough and Mr. Peterson, <br />Town Clerk, and Mr. Goodrich, Township Attorney. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson read the minutes~of the last stated meeting. On <br />page 2 it should be 125 feeti~eight. Mr. Cox moved the minutes <br />be accepted with this correction. Seconded by Mr. Scarborough. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on grader: Mr. Barstow has the specifications written <br />up. Discussion on buying a new grader with five year mainten- <br />ance contract. Will h~ve a report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy has written the City of Anoka requesting that they no- <br />tify the Ramsey Town Board about their next meeting to take up <br />the matter of the restrictions about the landfill in our Township. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy stated the Ramsey Town Board had been invited to a <br />meeting with the Anoka City Commission at ?:30 p.m. on August <br />24th to discuss future development, incorporation and territorial <br />limits with them and Grow Township and Champlin. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last regular Planning and Zoning Commission <br />were read by M~. Reimann. Roads had been inspected tonight by <br />some of the members of the Planning and Zoning Conm~ission. Green- <br />land ttills No. I and No. 2 and the Westphal Addition had been in- <br />spected. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated the Lorentmen request for a special use per- <br />mit could be discussed at a later date. <br /> <br />On September 7th at 10:00 a.m. at the Anoka County Court House <br />Mr. Tooker will be presenting our case for incorporation. The <br />incorporation petition for Ham Lake has been tabled. Grow Town- <br />ship has also requested incorporation. <br /> <br />Old Business: on the matter of road repair at 167th, two bids <br />have been received. We will receive a bid from H & O. Work is <br />to be done this year. The Township Engineer suggested that the <br />builders should be required to put up a performance bond for one <br />year after completion of any road that is accepted by the Township. <br />A builder had called Nr. Barstow requesting him to bring in many <br />loads of gravel for his roads. This should not be. Jaspar Street <br />should be started right away. It was suggested we get bids from <br />other road builders. Request for work on the west side of 183rd. <br />It was decided we must first have a firm bid before having any of <br />this work done. Jaspar Street should be regraded. We should make <br />maximum use of Township staff for road work. Mr. Murphy asked <br />if Mr. Cox could get an approximate cost on some of this road work. <br />Mr. Cox moved we go ahead and rebuild Jaspar Street with a ~2,000 <br />limit by using our equipment in conjunction with other heavy equip- <br />ment. Seconded by Mr. Scarborough~ Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
