Mr. Cox wants to hire some- <br />one on an hourly basis, perhaps 20 hours per week, at $2.25 per <br />hour. Mr. Cox moved they try to hire a secretary for 20 hours <br />per week at $2.25 per hour with the possibility that if it is <br />needed it could be a full time position. Seconded by Mr. Murphy. <br />Mr. Murphy suggested those who had answered the ad should be called <br />in. <br /> <br />Weed Inspector: Mr.,Roger Eng is the new Weed Inspector. Mr. <br />Cox moved Mr. Eng ~e hired as the Weed Inspector. Seconded by <br />Mr. Scarborough. Motion carried. Pay is $300.~~. <br />Carol Gower: Mr. Scarborough moved this application for a nur- <br />sery class be accepted. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Richard Lorentzen: It was agreed by Mr. Lorentzen at the trial <br />that he was not going to use this as a salvage area but only for <br />parking over night. This does not agree with the request for a <br />special use permit that was sent to the Planning and Zoning Com- <br />mission. Mr.. Scarborough moved that Mm. Goodrich write a letter <br />to ~. Lorent~en outlining the conditions under which the special <br />use permit could be granted and that it would not be for the oper- <br />ation of a salvage yard but would include parking tow trucks over <br />night only. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. This should <br />state that cars attached to tow trucks cannot be detached from <br />the tow trucks. <br /> <br />Harbor Development: <br />by Mr. Scarborough. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox moved we renew this permit. Seconded <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />County Line Road. Mr. Goodrich talked to Mr. Hagen's attorney <br />but they have not come up with anyt~i~ up to this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Barstow needs aandm~ml-gravel~for the roads. Mr. Cox moved <br />that Mr. Barstow check with the County and obtain costs f~om <br />them. Seconded by Mr. Scarborough. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson - assessor: Ramsey Township was not notified in time <br />by the State of Minnesota about a new law concerning assessors <br />and so has been denied by the State the right to have it's own <br />assessor. We are going to take this to District Court because <br />we feel we want our own tax assessor instead of having the County <br />do it. This will come up in court in about three weeks. <br /> <br />A group of people in our Township are concerned about having a <br />school out here. Mr. Erling Johnson, Superintendent of District <br />11 has asked this group to come in to plea~ their case before <br />the School Board at 7:30, Monday, September llth. Mr. Murphy has <br />talked to Mr. Johnson about this matter. Mr. Murphy has dra~ up <br />a resolution to be read to the people at this meeting. Mr. Cox <br />moved this resolution be presented to the School Board at their <br />next meeting. Seconded by Mw. Scarborough. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
