Mr. Loren Turnquist brought a request from the Anoka Fire Dept. <br />for the approval of a bee~ license and bingo permit for the Anoka <br />.C~r. Mr. Scarborough moved we approve both the beer li- <br />cense and the bingo permit for this event. Seconded by Mr. Cox. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. George Eide of Forest Lake was present. He has talked to MW. <br />Barstow about a grader, concerning the initial purchase price, cost <br />of maintenance and depreciation of the unit. Mr. Eide furnished <br />us with a number of 4 page bid forms which could be used when <br />calling for bids for a grader. We have about 70 miles of Town- <br />ship roads to be plowed this winter. Mr. Cox moved we request bids <br />on a new grader with the specifications in these 4 pages. Seconded <br />by Mr. Scarborough. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Industrial Park: A concern has contacted the Township about build- <br />ing a plant which would emplo~ about 120 people, have 40,000 square <br />feet of space and cost about $1,000,000. They would like the Town- <br />ship to build the building and lease it back to them. There would <br />be no expense to the Township, the financing would be done thru <br />municipal bonds which are tax f~ee. We were told we could do this <br />even though we are an urban Township. There is a special statute <br />covering this. It was decided we would be open to listen to what- <br />ever they had to say. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox asked if there was money held by the Township which could <br />be put out at interest. 0nly certain investments can be made. <br /> <br />A request was made for resurfacing of 156th in tar. A special <br />meeting would be needed. Payments could be made by the people <br />living on this road of five years at $50 plus per year for half <br />a mile, estimate might be $6,000 or about $2.3~ per foot. Mr. <br />Goodrich said he would look into this matter. <br /> <br />The next Planning and Zoning meeting will ~e Sept. llth due to the' <br />Labor Day holiday. <br /> <br />Mr. Vern Kattslof wants to know if he can park a trailer while <br />they build their house. He has ~ acres. A motion was made by <br />Mr. Scarborough that Mr. Kattslof be given a permit for a house <br />trailer on his land for 90 days. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion <br />carried. His home will be ~73~ 153rd. <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld requested a variance for Pineview Estates SE ~ of <br />Sec. 21 to be sold by metes and bounds description. This var- <br />iance had been granted on July 17th but was signed this evening. <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld requested a special use permit for a Mobile Home <br />Park. Mr. Reimann brought a report on this from the Caswell En- <br />gineering Co. Mr. Dennis Anderson had a report from Mr. Sha. <br />Mr. Scarborough moved that a permit for a mobile home park be <br />granted Mr. Gilbert Menkveld provided that all conditions of the <br />current ordinances are complied with and that the Township attor- <br />ney draw up the conditions and be authorized to enter into a <br />contract and lease with Gilbert Menkveld for the maintenance and <br />ownership requirements of the sanitation system in accordance <br /> <br /> <br />
