R:~GULAR I~[EETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD <br /> June 19, 1972 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, <br />Mr. Murphy. Present were Mr. Scarborough, Mr. Cox, Mr. Good- <br />rich, Township Attorney and Mr. Peterson, Clerk. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last stated meeting were read by Mr. Petor- <br />son. Mr. Scarborough moved the minutes be accepted as read° <br />~econded by Mr. Cox. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox re~orted on the township directory. The directories <br />will be available at the next Town Board meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. ~urphy reported that ~. Sha had given them the names of <br />three people, who had been interviewed by the Town Board for <br />pre'oaring the ground for the incorporation proceedings before <br />the Municipal Co~aission. They decided ~that Mr. Charles Tooker <br />~rom Farmington would be the best choice. He has been be_.o~e <br />the Municipal Commission three or four times for other commu- <br />nities and has done very well. He said there were four items <br />to prepare: a Base Map, Existing Conditions Atlas, Preliminary <br />Sketch Plan and Boundary Study and Report, which would cost <br />~i~3,000 and then his services would be ~200 per hearing. Thore <br />may be two, three or four hearings. ~fr. Cox moved we authorize <br />Mr. Tooker to serve as planner for Ramsey To~-nship incorporation <br />study and hearings right away· Seconded by Mr. Scarborougho !ir. <br />Tooker had stated that he would notify the Town Board if he thinks <br />this is not the best way for the To~aaship to go. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Tooker wants to hold three joint meetings with the Town <br />Board and the Planning and Zoning Co~mnission. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson gave a report on the Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox: Town signs· He stated that a 4x8 foot sign lettered <br />on both sides would cost ~7~.00 with "Ramsey To~ Hall - meetings <br />every third Monday. This does not include the painting of the <br />background The 3rim signs would be ~ <br /> · , ~30.00 each for the letter- <br />ing. Mr. ~eimann suggested that ~the' Planning and Zoning meetings <br />also be noted on the board. This was agreed to. }~P. Scarborough <br />moved, we order these signs· Mr. Cox seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson reported on the table to be made for the To~ Hall. <br />He stated the man who is going to make it said that 8 feet was <br />as long as it should be, otherwise it would have to be spliced. <br /> <br />Mr. ~rphy said there had bee~ some requests about a road be- <br />tween Highway 10 and ~2 going'north. Mr. Brutlag of the Elk <br />River School District office was present with Mr. Speck and Mr. <br />Philip Katnis, who live in that area· Mr. Brutlag said that at <br />the present time, some of the buses must go approximately 1~ <br />miles via a roundabout way on Ramsey Township Roads 83 and 63 <br />and Highways 10 and ~2 in order to complete their bus routes· <br />This distance could be cut considerably if a road connected the <br /> <br /> <br />
