ANNUAL MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD <br /> March 14, 1972 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:30 p.m. by the Deputy Clerk, <br />Astrid Guy. Nominations for a moderator for the meeting were <br />called for. Mr. Sorteberg nominated Mr. Titterud. Mr. Titterud <br />refused saying he was not familiar with the conduction of this <br />meeting. I~. David Mickelson no~_inated Mr. Sorteberg. Seconded <br />by Mr. Titterud. Mr. Dennis Anderson moved the nominations be <br />closed. Seconded by Mr. Titterud. Mr. Sorteberg was declared the <br />moderator by popular acclamation. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the last annual meeting were read. Mr. Gorhm-a <br />faoved the minutes be accepted as read. Seconded by Mr. Barstow. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Treasurer's report was read. Motion was made by Mr. Barstow to <br />accept the hreasurer's report as read. Seconded by Mr. Titterud. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Budget~ The Town Board suggested ~23,000 for the Road and Bridge <br />Fund. It was stated that in Section 29 there would be 160 acres <br />in a plat that would need roads and as of now the road there is <br />only 20 feet wide. ~his road should be fixed before there is too <br />much congestion. The road is half a mile to a mile. Mr. Menkveld <br />said he might have about four miles of road. Mr. Barstow said we <br />had two graders and a truck going much of the time and that we could <br />not have made it without the rented equipment. Traffic in the <br />township has gotten very heavy. ~. Dannis Anderson moved we budget <br />Q~23,000 for the Road and Bridge Fund. Seconded by Mr. Titterud. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />i~4,~00 was the budget figure for the Fire Fund. Mr. Arnold Peltzer <br />moved we budget ~4,~00 to the Fire Fund. Seconded by Mr. Auspos. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />4~10,000 was pudget figure for Machinery. Mr. A~ Anderson moved we <br />appropriate ~10,000 for the Machinery Fund. Seconded by Mr. Pittman. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Population projection for 1980 is 2~,000 people. <br /> <br />Mr. Titterud moved we appropriate ~,000 for the Town Hall Savings <br />Fund. Seconded by Myron Lewerenz. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Drivers for Township Equipment: Mr. Nell Garret moved we pay the <br />same rate as Anoka County. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Shop Work: Mr. Oarret moved we pay the same rate as the County. <br />Seconded by Mr. ~! Anderson. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Labor - patching roads, putting up snow fences, cutting trees, etc. <br />Mr. ~ Anderson moved we increase this rate by ~.~. Seconded <br />by Mr. ~.~urphy. Motion passed. <br /> <br /> <br />
