Anderson seconded this motion. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Salary is ~42~.00 per year. Mr. Gotham moved we raise <br />this by ~.~% per year. He would like to see it raised ~lO0.O0 if <br />this is permissible by law. Some of these other raises were to be <br />checked out also. Mr. Auspos seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Scarborough moved that the Board be authorized to call a special <br />meeting in order to review these wage raises if the ~.~% is not <br />applicable. Seconded by Mr. Dannis Anderson. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy declared Mr. Martin Gotham should be thanked by the com- <br />munity for his service of four terms. He was given a rousing round <br />of applause. <br /> <br />The Clerk's salary is ~697.~0. Mr. Dennis Anderson moved this sal- <br />ary be increased ~.~%. Seconded by I~. Anderson. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Barstow moved we pay the same rate for gopher bounty as last <br />year which is 30~, 10~ of this being refunded by the Co~ty. ?~. <br />Cox seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy suggested we remove the two notice announcement boards <br />that are away from the Town Eall ~nd just leave the one at the Town <br />Hall., if this is legal, and made this a motion. Seconded by Mr. <br />Arnold Peltzer. Motion passed. It was suggested that KANO Radio <br />be used for announcements, which we were told by KAN0 would be ~ree <br />of charge. <br /> <br />~. Elton Cox moved legal notices be placed in the ~hopper as well <br />as the Union. The Shopper has a circulation of ~38,000. Seconded <br />by Mrs. ~mg. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy mentioned he has had many calls about dogs tresspassing <br />on other people's property and thinks something should be done to <br />enforce the dog ordinance more strongly. So far only l~ dogs have <br />been registered in the Township. Mr. Dennis Anderson suggested <br />several men go around the Township with the Dog Ca~cher to try to <br />round up some of these stray dogs because some of running in packs <br />and are dangerous to children. <br /> <br />A letter was received from the Division of Lands and Natural Re- <br />sources stating that fire per~ts must be secured from the Fire <br />Warden, who is located at Forest Lake, Minn. <br /> <br />The assesso~ Mr. Ernest Larson receives ~1~00 salary and mileage. <br />Mr. Murphy moved his salary be increased ~.~% Seconded by Mro <br />Scarborough.
