-2 -

Peterson's home. The next election will be the School Board elec-
tion on May 16, 1972. There is a question as to who will stand
the expense of registration for the School Board election.

Three people have filed for supervisor, Barbara Gree~, Arnold Cox,
and David Mi~kelson. Election is on Ma~ch 14th from 7:00 a.m. to
8:00 p.m. in the Town Hall. The annual meeting will be held the
same night starting at 8:30 p.m.

Dog Ordinance: Some change Will probably have to be made in the
ordinance to cover this problem: in order to get a dog back
after he has been picked up by the dog catcher, the owner must
pay the proper fees and fines but the ordinance does ~requi~e
that the dog be vaccinated at this time if he has not been vaccin-
ated within the specified length of time and this could only be
done either by releasing the dog or having a veterinarian came to
the dog pound which would be very expensive. This matter is being
held over until the next meeting.

Audit: This will take place on March ?th for the Town Board mem-
bers, Town Clerk and Town Treasurer. This meeting is open but no
one else present but those mentioned above can take ~ypart in
the meeting.

els on Hi

have applie¢ for a

licensee

Fire Contract: Anoka quotation is $1006.38

Cigarette License: We have received one application so far.

M~. Jack Menkveld was present with a plat of Pine View Estates.
The owner is Gilbert A. Menkveld. This plat is next to Greenland
Hills and the request had been made that a road be laid out in
Pine View Estates to line up with a road in Greenland Hills plat.
They were told to refer this back to the Planning and Zoning Com-
mission as long as so much time had elapsed since it had been
presented previously ~$ the Commission.

There were people present who were who were complaining about land
that is being taken on County State aid road #5 to widen this road.
The people ~said they were being paid so little for this land and
that it was putting the road too close to the front of their homes.
In order for the state to get federal aid on any road the road
must be 120 feet wide.

Mr. Ralph W. Talbot, County Sheriff, has contacted the Town Board.
He thinks the Township should have a full time sheriff available
with a car. The amount taken in burlaries and theft (not including
autos or vandalism) for the past year was $32,608.60. A comment
was made that what we needed was not a sheriff's car but an un-
marked car for a sheriff.
