REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD <br /> <br />October 18, 1971 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Mr. Scarborough, <br />Chairman. Present were Mr. Gotham, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Peterson and <br />Mr. Goodrich, attorney. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last stated meeting were read by Mr. Peterson. <br />Correction on the cost of the signs. It is $4400, and square <br />posts. Correction on Mr. Menkveld's previous permit. This perr~t <br />was issued illegally and therefore could not be renewed. Mr. Scar- <br />borough moved the minutes be accepted with the above corrections. <br />Seconded by Mr. Gotham. Motion passed. <br /> <br />The minutes on the Special Hearing on October 6th on the applica- <br />tion of Mr. Menkveld for a mobile home park was read by Mr. Peter- <br />son. The resolution was clarified as follows: The permit be <br />granted Mr. Menkveld provided that all sections of the ordinance <br />are met and complied with and that the violation of any section of <br />the ordinance will be grounds to withcLraw the permit and that it <br />must meet with the approval of the to~ship sanitation consultant, <br />the Metropolitan Sewer Board and any other governmental agency <br />involved. ~r. Scarborough moved the minutes of the special hearing <br />be approved with the above clarification. Seconded by Mr. ~iurphy. <br /> <br />Mr. Gotham stated the Rand Road has been repaired. <br /> <br />Mr. Ernest Larson has been appointed Township Assessor and is now <br />attending the county assessor's school. His salary is $1~00 a year <br />plus mileage. <br /> <br />The Township Directory can now be printed as long as the assessor <br />has been appointed. It was suggested this directory be mailed to <br />each resident. <br /> <br />Report on street signs. The posts are to be in by October 30th. <br />Signs will be put in some time after that. <br /> <br />We now have a date from Mr. Lundheim of the County Highway Dept. <br />~o the ~ffect that.the signals will be Sn~talled~right after the <br /> <br />Mr. Scarborough reported that Mr. Menkveld's sanitation system does <br />not meet with the approval of the Metrsp~an Sewer Board. The <br />system presented is good for only 96 ~and the mobile park is <br />supposed to have 292 homes. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last Planning and Zoning meeting were read by <br />Mr.. Reimann, Chairman. He also stated that the road inspection on <br />Mr. Westphal's road was disapproved. <br /> <br />After October first there will be a state surtax on all building <br />permits to be turned over to the state quarterly. There will also <br />be a uniform state building code. <br /> <br /> <br />
