He served as Mayor and City Councilman in Coon Rapids, <br />Minnesota, a large and rapidly growing northern suburb in the Twin Clties. He <br />also served ss a Planning Commissioner, Charter Commission Chairman, Citizens <br />Tax Study Committee Chairman, and as a member of the Governor's Loaned Execu- <br />tive Program. <br /> <br />In the field of Management Information Services, Mr. McC~uley has a wide range <br />of technical and managerial experience in directing such activities as plan- <br />ning, designing, controlling and implementing major information management <br />systems. He has directed the design of systems for almost all major business <br />functions: finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing, Ac- <br />counts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales, Sales Forecasting, Inventory and <br />Manufacturin9. Coupled with this is Mr. McCeuley's experience in programming <br />languages such as Basic and COBOL and his background in storage and retrieval <br />techniques usin9 computer systems. <br /> <br />As Manager of Planning and Administration for the Peavey Company, a large food <br />and grain processor, he developed and installed s long-range strategic plan- <br />ning process for M.I.S. (Management Information Services). In addition, he <br />selected end installed a data bas~ mnagement system, provided staff education <br />and training, developed department standards and procedures, and controlled <br />the budget. <br /> <br />At Hoerner-Waldorf Company, a nation-wide paper end paper products manufac- <br />turer, Mr. McCauley held the position Manager of Systems and Programming. He <br />directed the development of a highly successful nation-wide distributed data <br />processing network. <br /> <br />During the early phases of his career, Mr. McCauley was employed at Univac and <br />Honeywell as a systems analyst and a project manager. His experience included <br />leadership of project teams assigned to develop many successful business <br />systems. <br /> <br />Mr. McCauley is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he earned a <br />Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has prepared and <br />conducted many workshops and seminars in continuing education, dealin9 with <br />subjects such as Computer Concepts, Computer User Training, Systems Training <br />and Technical Education. His background includes long-range planning,- dis- <br />tributive processing and data base systems management training. Hr. Mcgauley <br />is a member of the Association of Systems Managers. <br /> <br /> <br />
