Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />Metro District <br />Office of State Aid <br />1500 West County Rd B2 <br />Roseville, MN 55113-3174 <br />September 21, 2015 <br />Mr. Bruce Westby, PE <br />City Engineer <br />City of Ramsey <br />7550 Sunwood Drive NW <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br />Telephone: 651-234-7768 <br />cari.jensen@state.nin.us <br />RE: Request for FY 2017 Municipal Agreement Program Funding <br />TH 10 at Riverdale Drive Frontage Road Extension, Control Section (CS) # 0202 <br />City of Ramsey <br />Dear Mr. Westby: <br />I am writing to inform you of the decision reached by the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Municipal <br />Agreement Program Selection Committee regarding the above referenced project. <br />After considering the 12 candidate projects submitted for inclusion in the FY 2017 Program it was <br />decided to offer a maximum contribution by MnDOT of $584,280 (including Construction <br />Engineering and Inspection). <br />The award is for improvements to TH 10 in the City of Ramsey. The proposed improvements <br />include improvements along TH 10 for the Riverdale Drive Frontage Road extension. These <br />Cooperative Agreement funds will supplement other applicable state and local funds being applied <br />towards the project. <br />The referenced funding amount is the maximum amount of MnDOT Metro Municipal Agreement <br />funding available for this project. Municipal Agreement funds can only be used for construction <br />items that can be justified in accordance with the MnDOT Cost Participation Policy. if the cost of <br />eligible items falls below this maximum amount, the funds awarded will be reduced to match the <br />cost of the eligible items. A copy of the MnDOT Cost Participation Policy can be viewed at <br />http://www.dot.state.mn.us/policy/financial/fm011.html. <br />If this funding is accepted by your agency you will be expected to provide project plans and <br />specifications to my office that conform to a MnDOT format. The Municipal Agreement Program <br />Plan Preparation, Design and Construction guide can be viewed at <br />http://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/stateaid/greenbook2012.pdf. The project plans and specifications <br />will be reviewed and commented on by MnDOT functional groups. Please contact the Metro <br />functional groups directly for specific questions relating to their area and copy the State Aid Project <br />Manager on correspondence.
