CASE # <br /> <br />RECEIVE BIDS AND AWARD CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #03-29, <br />MSA STREETS IN RAMSEY TOWN CENTER <br /> By: Brian E. Olson, Assistant Public Works Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Improvement Project #03-29 consists of bituminous surfacing, drainage improvements, sanitary <br />sewer, watermain and miscellaneous improvements on Sunwood Drive from Ramsey Boulevard <br />to Armstrong Boulevard and Rhinestone Street from Sunwood Drive to Bunker Lake Boulevard. <br />Authorization to advertise for bids was ordered on March 9, 2004, and bids were opened on <br />Wednesday, April 21, 2004. <br /> <br />Nine (9) bids were received and ranged from $4,668,665.93 to $5,211,942.70. Since it is an <br />assessment project, a petition from the property owners that will be assessed for this <br />improvement will be necessary as well as a Feasibility Study needs to be prepared. The petition <br />and feasibility study are attached. <br /> <br />Also pursuant to Section 7.2 of the Master Development Agreement, the city is not obligated to <br />issue the bonds or commence construction of the City Phase I Roadway Improvements until: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />The Developer has substantially completed the mass grading described in Section I0. ~ <br />pursuant to the Master Grading Plan; <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />the Developer has provided the City with and the City has approved a detailed <br />landscaping plan specifically describing the landscaping which' the Developer will <br />construct and install within or adjacent to the rights-of-way for the City Phase I Roadway <br /> <br /> <br />
