-2- <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />9/27/76 <br /> <br />the traffic study is to be performed on; 179th Lane from Highway 47 to Highway 7, <br />County Road 56 from Highway 10 to County Road 5, 167th from County Road 5 to Highway <br />47. <br /> Carried 5 Ayes <br /> <br />September 15, 1976, Special meeting. <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Gorham to approve the September <br />15, 1976, special meeting minutes with the following corrections: The meeting was <br />called to order at 9:00 p.m., not a.m. Page 2, paragraph 5, the motion should show a <br />vote carried 4 to O. Page 4, Walker's vacation pay, Mayor Cox voted Naye because there <br />is no record available to check his time and Councilman Reimann voted Naye because he <br />felt Mr. Walker had taken his vacation during his employment. <br /> Carried 5 Ayes <br /> <br />Citizen Input. There was none <br /> <br />Letters & Communications <br />Clerk Peddycoart announced that the Auditor will be unable to officially present the <br />Audit Report to Council until the October 25th meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said it is important to have this reviewed with Council before October 25th, <br />and it should be presented before the budget workshop. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council members was that the Auditor should be rescheduled to <br />present the Audit prior to the budget workshop on September 29, 1976. The Clerk was <br />directed to arrange to have the Auditors, Haskins & Sells, present the Audit Report <br />at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 1976. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read a letter from Slurry Coat Services. The firm is looking for a place <br />to locate their business. The letter was turned over to Councilman Gorham to be <br />forwarded to the Ramsey Economic Development Committee. The Committee is to check <br />the reputability of the company etc., and check into the possibility of having them <br />locate in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read a letter from Kathy Schneider. Mrs. Schneider stated she had been appointed <br />to the Rum River Advisory Council and due to circumstances that she is unable to devote <br />the amount of time needed for the project. She said Ramsey is already being represented <br />by Councilwoman Oliphant on the Advisory Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked if any other park board member would be interested. Mrs. Schneider <br />replied that the other members, with the exception of Craig Fiedler, were approached <br />but they were not interested. Mr. Fiedler was just recently appointed to the Park Board. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Oliphant stated she would be happy to report any Council or citizen input <br />to the Advisory Council. She said now is the time for any comments regarding the river <br />from the head waters on down the Mississippi River. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox announced that a former Planning & Zoning member, Nyle Emmons, passed away <br />last week. A letter to his wife expressing Council's appreciation for his work for <br />the community and their condolences and sympathy is to be sent by the Clerk. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read a notice of "Voice of Mississippi Incorporated" to be held on Saturday, <br />October 9th at Walker Art Center, Mpls. Mayor Cox asked Councilwoman Oliphant if <br />she would care to follow up on this. <br /> <br />Re po rt s <br />Street Department. <br />Street Report was read by Mayor Cox and noted. <br /> <br /> <br />
