-3- <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />9/27/76 <br /> <br />Buildin~ Department. <br />Building Department report was read by Councilman Gorham. The fees for plumbing <br />permits and fee for moving of buildings into the City to be presented at the next <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />Police Department Report <br />Police Report was read by Councilman Reimann. <br />Mayor Cox commented on the amount of hours worked by the police and the nominal cost <br />to the City. He complimented the reserves and regular police force for the conscientious <br />and dedicated job they are doing within the limited City budget. <br /> <br /> Park & Recreation Report <br /> Park Department report was read by Councilman Mickelson. M. Mevissen to prepare hockey <br /> rink for flooding. <br /> Personnel Committee Report. <br /> Councilman Gorham gave a report from the Personnel Committee. They have contacted <br /> Mr. Phil Nereson regarding the assistant administrator position. Mr. Nereson will <br /> start work on November 1, 1976, at a salary of $15,000 with review after six months. <br />,-J~ewill actually come on board on November4~, 1976, he feels he has a commitment <br /> to see Stewartville through the General Election, however, he is going to come up <br /> in October for a few days to help the City of Ramsey also. Mr. Gorham said he <br /> admired Mr. Nereson for wanting to help out the City of Stewartville and feels if <br /> he ever leaves Ramsey, he is the type of individual that will do the same for Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox commented that he was very pleased with the interview with Mr. Nereson. <br />He feels he displays an extreme amount of maturity for his ages and will be a welcome <br />addition to the City staff. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Mickelson that the City retain Phil Nereson as <br />Administrative Assistant. Mr. Nereson to commence work on November ~, 1976. The <br />salary to be $15,000 per year. This employment to be subject to Mr. Nereson <br />and the City agreeing upon and executing a satisfactory employment contract. <br />In conjunction with that, the City Attorney and Personnel Committee are to prepare <br />an employment contract and present to the full Council at its October 12, 1976, meeting <br />for review and approval. <br /> Carried 5 Ayes <br />Park Department Comp. Plan <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Mickelson to hire Tim Paquette on part time employment <br />contract to be employed to assist the Park Commission in completion of the Comprehensive <br />Park Plan. Total hours will be not more than 230 hours. Payment to be made in 1/3 <br />portions with the first Payment on December 1st, second payment February 1st and <br />final payment when the plan is completed. Deadline for completion of the plan is <br />April of 1977. Total payment amount $1150. <br /> Carried 5 Ayes <br /> <br />Park Commisgion resignations <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson, seconded by Councilman Reimann to accept the resignation <br />of Park Commission members Herb Scatterelli and Leonard Vereecken effective immediately. <br /> Carried 5 Ayes <br /> <br /> Park Commission new appointment. <br /> Motion by Councilman Gorham, seconded by Councilman Reimann to appoint Michele Olson to <br /> fill out the term of Leonard Vereecken and Robert Schwartz to fill the expired term <br /> of Herb Scatterelli on Ramsey's Park and Recreation Commission. <br />OLD Carried 5 Ayes <br /> <br />BUSINESSIndustry Boulevard alignment. <br /> Mayor Cox reported that a meeting was held last Tuesday between Council, Planning & Zoning <br /> <br /> <br />
