SPECIAL MEETING Ramsey City Council City of Ramsey County of Anoka State of Minnesota Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Council of the City of Ramsey, Ramsey, Minnesota, was held at the City Hall, 14100 St. Francis Boulevard N.W. Ramsey, MN in said City, on November 4, 1976 at 6:12 p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Cox Councilman Gorham Councilman Mickelson Councilman Reimann The following members were absent: Councilwoman Oliphant The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cox. The Mayor announced that the Council was in session to serve as canvassing board for the November 4, 1976, City Election, to review the 1977 Budget for approval, to discuss Landfill agreement and bid on maintenance building. Motion by Councilman Gorham, seconded by Councilman Reimann to accept the agenda as amended. Carried 4 Ayes Mayor Cox announced with pleasure and thanked Councilmembers present for their support in negotiation of the contract with Waste Managment regarding the Landfill. Mayor Cox presented a check from Waste Management for $28,000 to pay the County bill for right of way on Sunfish Lake Boulevard~ He emphasized that without the support of good solid Councilpeople the project would not have been accomplished. He said the attorney should review the contract figures, etc. Mayor Cox announced that he is pleased to have Bob Muller on the Council and that people would have to look a long way to find a better group of people than the men on this Council who have worked so hard to serve the community. CANVASSING OF VOTES Mayor Cox called attention to the difference between the two precincts in population. Councilman Mickelson remarked about the good voter turnout. Mayor Cox also remarked that it is great to see good responsible people going out to the polls.
