SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />Ramsey City Council <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> County of Anoka <br /> <br /> State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Council of the City <br />of Ramsey, Ramsey, Minnesota, was held at the City Hall, 14100 St. Francis Boulevard <br />N.W. Ramsey, MN in said City, on November 4, 1976 at 6:12 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Cox <br /> Councilman Gorham <br /> Councilman Mickelson <br /> Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />The following members were absent: Councilwoman Oliphant <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cox. <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that the Council was in session to serve as canvassing board for <br />the November 4, 1976, City Election, to review the 1977 Budget for approval, to discuss <br />Landfill agreement and bid on maintenance building. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Gorham, seconded by Councilman Reimann to accept the agenda as <br />amended. <br /> <br /> Carried 4 Ayes <br /> <br />Mayor Cox announced with pleasure and thanked Councilmembers present for their <br />support in negotiation of the contract with Waste Managment regarding the Landfill. <br />Mayor Cox presented a check from Waste Management for $28,000 to pay the County bill <br />for right of way on Sunfish Lake Boulevard~ <br /> <br />He emphasized that without the support of good solid Councilpeople the project would <br /> <br />not have been accomplished. He said the attorney should review the contract figures, etc. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox announced that he is pleased to have Bob Muller on the Council and that people <br />would have to look a long way to find a better group of people than the men on this <br />Council who have worked so hard to serve the community. <br /> <br />CANVASSING OF VOTES <br /> <br />Mayor Cox called attention to the difference between the two precincts in population. <br />Councilman Mickelson remarked about the good voter turnout. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox also remarked that it is great to see good responsible people going out to the <br />polls. <br /> <br /> <br />
