P e6 <br />C~ovember 8, 1976 <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Mickelson to designate as No. I priority 153rd from <br /> <br />Puma to Armstrong. <br /> <br /> 4 Ayes <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka to prepare and discuss railroad crossing situation with Mr. Nereson. <br />Access road to landfill slidin9 area. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson and Mr. Mevissen to meet with the new operator at the landfill and determine <br />the indrive approach and parking. This is a temporary arrangement. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT NERESON'S REPORT <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson presented the contract between the City and Blaine Midway All Pets for <br />signing by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson reported on the public works grant for the City hall building. <br /> <br />He met with Mr. Steffen to discuss and review the application. The application <br />will be completed tomorrow evening. Mr. Steffen recommends he take the application <br />to Bemidji before submitting it to Chicago. He requested permission from Council <br />to fly via North Central in this regard. <br /> <br />Council consensus was that this would be permissible. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson requested permission to purchase a Handbook for Statutory Cities from <br />the League of Municipalities. Price $50. per copy. <br /> <br />Council authorized the expenditure. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS & ORDINANCES <br /> <br />Shoretand Management Ordinance. Mr. Nereson announced a meeting to be held on <br />November 17th with DNR representatives. He hopes to ascertain from this meeting <br />which direction the City should take regarding a Shoreland Ordinance. <br /> <br />MAYOR & COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Council requested a letter be sent to surrounding communities to let them know we <br />are willing to work width them for better communities and to let newly elected <br />officials know we are available to help one another. <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Mickelson to adjourn. <br /> <br /> 4 Ayes <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:45 p.m. <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> ~rie~eSeddycoart ~'-~- Acting Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
