A determination will <br />have to be made before January 1, 1977, whether we will have additional precincts. <br />Precinct boundaries cannot be changed again after that time until 198t. <br /> <br />This item to be on the next meeting Agenda with a formal proposal. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Grader tire quotations for the Street Department. <br /> <br />Motion by Cox, seconded by Mickelson to authorize Merle Mevissen to secure four <br />recaps for the grader at the cost of $165 per tire less $22 for each recapable <br /> <br /> 4 Ayes <br /> <br />Variance request of David Mickelson. <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Reimann to grant a variance to David Mickelson as <br />recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission on November 1,1976, because they <br />are lots of record as of 1965.(Resolution No. 27) <br /> 3 Ayes <br /> Mickelson abstained <br /> <br />Request by Ed Klemish to subdivide Commercial lot. <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Mickelson to allow Ed Klemish .~o divide Lot 3, Block <br />7 Klemish Addition into not more~{'han Ohe acre 16t§~'~ ' -= ~ ~., <br /> 4 Ayes <br /> <br />Mayor Cox advised Mr. Klemish to get in touch with Attorney Goodrich regarding <br />the blacktopping of streets in Klemish Addition. <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />MSA roads for 1977. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka read a letter on MSA road priorties for 1977. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox expressed concern in regard to improving Puma. It will add increased <br />traffic and add problems concerning the railroad crossing. <br /> <br />Letter on railroad crossing Federal funds read by Engineer Raatikka. <br /> <br />Consensus is that there should be a signal at the railroad crossing before the <br /> <br />street is improved. <br /> <br />Merle Mevissen to look over other crossings and see what kind of shape they are in. <br />Mayor Cox also expressed concern again on Highway 47 railroad crossing in Anoka. Also, <br />we do not want to upgrade Puma until we get a signal at the railroad crossing, a <br />map showing traffic feeding into it and to start planning for this project. <br />Engineer Raatikka reported funds available are approximately $100,000 for 1977. <br />Council directed that Lester Wirz check on driveways coming onto 153rd between Puma <br />and Armstrong. <br /> <br /> <br />
