Regular Council Meeting December 13, 1976, Pg 5 On 11/29, met with Mr. Lefebvre regarding vote a matic. Cost $7300 to $8900 to properly equip City with vote a matic. Mr. Lefebvre is going to approach County board to help city purchase machines because it will help the County Auditor's office. The Park Department purchased a 100 foot fire hose to floor rinks. Cost approximately $125. Mr. Nereson asked about hours of operating the warming house. He suggested the Park Board have the responsibility of preparing a schedule and hi rea high school age person to attend the warming house. Change in the speed limit on 167th from Nowthen to Highway 47 has been posted at 50 miles per hour. Memo from Chief Auspos regarding a change in liquor ordinance. He would like to have last call at I a.m. and customer off property at 1:30 a.m. Council consensus is to amend the present ordinance per the Chief's request. Mr. Nereson announced a meeting to be held Wednesday, December 15, regarding HUD grants. Council authorized Mr. Nereson to attend the meeting. Mayor & Counci Inp~.t.. Councilman Reimann asked about the status of the flooding on the ice rinks. Response: Maintenance department is working on flooding. Ice is still quite rough in spots. They are flooding less water more often to try to remedy the problem. It should be ready by Christmas vacation. Councilman Reimann asked if Mrs. Oliphant had given an answer as to why she is absent from the Council meetings. Response: No. Councilman Reimann asked how the newspaper reporter got her information for her article. Response: She gets copies of the minutes. Councilman Reimann stated that she should be attending the meetings and if she is taking up the Administrative Assistant's time she should be told to attend the meeting.
