PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey CitM Council was held on <br />December 22, 1975, at Ramsey Elementary School, 15000 Nowthen <br />Boulevard, Ramsey, MN 55305. The meeting was called to order <br />by Acting Mayor Gorham at 7:40 p.m. Present Councilpersons were <br />Mr. Gotham, Mr. Reimann, Mr. Mickelson and Mrs. 01iphanto Also <br />present, City. Administrator Walker and Attorney Goodrich. <br /> <br />Pledge of allegiance to the flag was lead by Acting Mayor Gorham. <br /> <br />ApprOval of agenda, Input from audience on recommended changes <br />'in the' 'Urban Planning District. Acting Mayor Gorham stated that <br />input on r'ecommended changes would be reviewed by the Plann~.ng <br />& Zoning Commission at their next meeting. <br /> <br />I'.~otion by Mickelson seconded by Reimann to accept the agenda as <br />amen~ed. <br /> Carried ~ - 0 <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Gotham asked for citizen input regarding other matters. <br />There was no response. <br /> <br />~pproval of minutes of December 8, 1975, Council Meeting. Motion <br />by Reimann seconded by Oliphant to accept the minutes of the <br />December 8th meeting with the following corrections, Page 3~ <br />Motion by Cox should be changed to indicate a vote of 3 -0. <br />Page 5, Motion by Reimann, on the purchase of a torch should read, <br />seconded by Gorham. <br /> Carried 4 - 0 <br /> <br />Special Meeting, December 15, 1975, Combined Council and Planning & <br />~4niny MeetinK. Motion bM Mickelson seconded by Reimann to accept <br />the minutes of the December 15, 1975, meeting as presented. <br /> Carried 4 -'O <br /> <br />Petitions and Communications. Administrator Walker read a lette~ <br />l'rom t~e A~oka County Uni'on on a Special Bicentennial Progress Days <br />edition explaining that the City can print a story of the history <br />of Ramsey at a special price with this special offer. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Gorham stated this is something the Council should <br />consider and in addition, possibly sending out a supplement which <br />would reach many residents in the City who do not receive the <br />Union. He added that it would be a tribute to the City to take <br />part in this program. He requested Administrator Walker to check <br />further into this program. <br /> <br />Administrator Walker read a letter of resignation from Mrs. Jean <br />James as Bicentennial Chairwoman. <br /> <br /> <br />
