CommltteJ to design and install a sign to be placed to indicate <br />the site of the new Municipal Building. <br /> <br />New Business: Letter of agreement for services to up date the <br />~-.re-~e--~e Plan between the City of Rs~asey and the three <br />principals: Mr. Bernard Steffen, Mr. William Goodrich, and <br />~?i~r. Orin Fricke was signed. <br />Administrator Walker read City Ordinance Number 75~15, an <br />Ordinance imposing a moratorium on rezoning and subdividi~g <br />in a part of the Southeast corner of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Department Reports: Parks and Recreation: Kathy Schneider read <br />t~znut-~'es o-r~ir last meeting. She was appointed Secretary <br />of the Commission. The Commission looked at the present park <br />land in the community. They also recommended that the City <br />Council authorize construction of a hockey rink adjacent to the <br />Ramsey Elementary School. The minutes are on file at the City <br />Hall. <br /> <br />Public Safety: Mayor C~x reported on a spaghetti feed to be <br />~-gl-d~-~o f'ina~ce a new squad car. Ron Jerich and the Police <br />Reserve are to handle the ticket sale. It is a really fine <br />effort by these people and a worthwhile project. <br /> <br />Administrator Walker read Chief Auspos's reDort: The Police <br />Department had a total of ~patr6~ h6~rS.~ ~he Reserves had <br />put in a total of 186 hours. There were 9~ overtime hours <br />and the Chief had a total of 60 hours. They answered &~3 calls. <br />The total man hours for public safety was 5gl for the month of <br />September. Mayor Cox praised the fine work that the Police <br />Reserve was doing for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Road Repor_t: Administrator Walker reported that one mile of <br />~-t-~h~ on Variolite Street was cleaned. Culverts were installed. <br />On 17]-miles of road off Sunfish Lake Blvd., the road was rebuilt <br />with 250 tons of Class 5, two culverts were installed, and the <br />ditches were seeded. 275 tons of Class 5 were hauled on Jasper <br />Street. The snow fence was put up for the ~nter snows. Roads <br />were graded and equipment was readied for the winter season. <br /> <br />Building ~: Bob Casper reported that 36 building permits <br />$~e--r~ is'~uen anm 102 inspections were made bM him during September. <br /> <br />Administrator Walker reported on the two Public Hearings to be <br />held by the Planning Commission on November ~rd in the Ramsey <br />Elementary School. One at 7:00 P.M. on the Carson-Holm preliminary <br />plat and one at ~:00 P.M. on the Northgate Industrial Park plat. <br /> <br />~.'~ayor Cox: The Mayor reported on the Writ of Mandamus hearing <br />· -h~-A~-~6rney Goodrich represented the City of Ramsey. It was <br />continued until the 9th of November. <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that a meeting with Chairman John Boland of <br />the Metro Council is to be held at the Anoka City Hall at 7:30 <br />on 'the 2~th of October. He also said that a meeting will be <br />hel~l at 7:30 P.M. in the Ramsey Elementary School on Wednesday, <br />October 29th, between the City Council and State Elected officials <br />Dertainin~ to the Metro Councils development framework guide. <br /> <br /> <br />
