letter was read and noted pertaining to the CAB. <br />Motion by Mickelson, second by Gorham for the Mayor to sign the <br />letter. Carried 5 to O. <br />Letter £rom Erwin Specht requesting permission to use a 22 on <br />his property during the hunting season was read. Administrator <br />Walker to advise Mr. Specht of the gun law prohibiting the firing <br />of rifles in the City of Ramsey. <br />Letter on election and tax meetings was read. No action. <br />Letter from Ed Fields on the cost of the Metro Council was referred <br />bM Mayor Cox. No action. <br />Request from Mr. ~ayne Sames of the Department of Natural Resources <br />for a meeting with the City Council was brought to the attention <br />of the Council by Administrator Walker. No action at this time <br />until further information is obtained by Mr. Walker. <br />Letter from Representative James Oberstar with reference to <br />Mayor Cox's letter in support of Revenue Sharing was read and <br />noted. Representative Oberstar to support the continuance of <br />Federal Revenue Sharing. <br /> <br />Selection of Administrator Secretary: Motion bM Reimann, second <br />~by O~iph~n~--fo~'Admi~s~r~to~WalMer to contact Mrs. Arlene <br />Peddycoart and offer her the position of Administrator Secretary. <br /> Carried 5 to O. <br /> <br />Special Use Permit: Motion by Reimann, second by Mickelson to <br />a]~-~-~ic-~l~on a special use permit for a Beauty Shop at <br />her residence at Lot 12, Block ~, of Woodland Green, with the <br />address of 5210 155th Avenue N.W. Such shop to conform to the <br />State Regulations and the City of Ramsey business ordinance. <br /> Carried ~ to O. <br />Councilman Gorham abstained as he has an interest in the construc- <br />tion of the residence. <br /> <br />Hockey Rink: Councilman Reimann presented some figures and <br />~es'i~ ~ors on a hockey rink to be constructed on the I~.amsey <br />Elementary School property. Motion by Cox, second by Mickelson <br />to go ahead with the rink construction at a cost of mater~.als <br />not to exceed $2000.00 and self-help labor. <br /> Carried 5 to O. <br /> <br />Tree Sale: Councilman Gary Reimann reported on the tree sale, <br />an~_ t~it was a huge success with over 2000 trees sold. The <br />purpose of the tree sale was to give the residents an opportunity <br />to purchase trees at a reasonable price and enhance the beauty <br />of the co~nunity. The Council indicated a vote of thanks to <br />Councilman Reimann for all the effort that he had pu~ forth for <br />this worth while project. ~ - ~ z~,/~?~'~"~ ~i~'"'~:~?~'~ <br /> <br />May'or Cox reported on the fantastic retirement party that was <br />held for Mrs. Guy, and that Administrator Walker had selected a <br />frame for the picture of Mrs. GuM that is to be displayed in the <br />future municipal building. <br /> <br />Map ~ all underground natural gas mains: Ad~ninistrator Walker <br />~'x~Ia~ne..~-a map that '~e'-~ requeSte-~om North Central Gao-~ ~ <br />Company locating all of their underground service mains within <br />the City of Ramsey.
