- ~ - 0.9/22/7~ <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich informed the Council that he has set Up the <br />abstract for closing the City's land purchase and that Clerk- <br />Treasurer Walker draw up a check for the seller according to past <br />minutes and have it ready for the next meeting. <br /> <br />Reports <br /> <br />Police Report: Chief Mike Auspos gave a report on the month of <br />August 'activities.' 487 total man hours with 89 calls answered <br />and 303 patrol hours. <br /> <br />Road and Bridge: Normal grading and culvert work was accomplished. <br /> <br />Buildin$ Inspector: Bob Casper: The Building Inspector reported <br />'thgt"he inspecte~ 29 h-~es ~Sd issued 26 building permits during <br />the month of August. <br /> <br />Weed & Tree Inspector: No report. <br /> <br />PlanninG & Zoning Commmission: A1 Sorteberg, Chairman, reported <br />on two variance r~ques6s', one from Hedstrom Electric reference <br />the conveyance o~ess than the alloted size. The Commission <br />recommended that~the variance be allowed. Another party requested <br />a variance to construct a second garage five feet from the property <br />line but later decided to construct it according to the ordinance <br />so no action had to be taken. <br /> <br />Park Board: No meeting as the board has disbanded. MayowCox in- <br />s-t--~c~he Clerk-Treasurer to write a letter of appreciation to <br />the members since they had put in a lot of hard work and extra <br />hours. <br /> <br />Clerk-Treasurer: There will be a party to honor Mrs. Guy and <br />we--~me Mr. ~ Mrs. Walker and Mr. & Mrs. Casper at the Strawhouse <br />in Ramsey on September 30, 1975 from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. <br /> <br />naor Cox suggested that a picture of Mrs. Guy be taken and placed <br />t~e'~-~w ~ni'c'ipal building as she has put in many years of work <br />on the Planning Commission and as the first Cler~Treasurer for the <br />City of Ramsey. The Council informally agreed to do this. <br /> <br />10:15 p.m. Review of the Agenda: Council agreed to go ahead with <br />~he remai~derof the' agen-~a as approved. <br /> <br />.C_han. g.e..of meeting date: The first meeting in October will be on <br />Tuesday, bhe 14th o--~ctober, because of the legal holiday on the <br />l~th. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox will call a special meeting to award the contract for <br />the 153rd Ave. project. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox brought up a possible Council action against Mr. Robert <br />Oliphant. City Attorney Goodrich was directed to ascertain when <br />a counter suit should be filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
