- 3 - ¢.9/22/75 <br /> <br />Waiver request by Mr. Curtis Titterud: Attorney Stephen Munsten- <br />teiger appeared-~SeT-6-~e the Council to request a waiver pursuant <br />to the provision of Section 12.O2 of the Ramsey City Ordinance <br />No. 75-5 in behalf of Mr. Curtis Titterud. Motion by Mickelson, <br />seconded by Reimann that the City Council adopt a resolution in- <br />structing the Anoka County Registrar of Deeds to make of record <br />the following tract of land described as follows: <br /> <br />The west 300 feet of the south ll5 feet of the north 830 <br />feet of the east ~ of the northwest ~ of Section 15, Town's- <br />ship 32, Range 25, subject to public road easement. <br /> <br />The granting of this variance does not interfere with the purpose <br />of the City of Ramsey's Ordinance 75-5 Section 12.O2 and strict <br />enforcement would create a real hardship for Mr. Titterud. <br /> <br />Carried 5 to O. <br /> <br />R_~oort on Bi-Centennial Committee by Mrs. Mel James: Mrs. James <br />gave a report on the Bi-Centen~al--~o~-----i-~t~.~contest for <br />the design of the City flag is open for persons 18 years of age <br />or younger. A committee from the City of Ramsey will be organized <br />to select the winner. The prizes will be donated and the follow- <br />ing have been donated so far: a bike by Mayor Arnold Cox, a $100 <br />savings bond by R onald Jerich and a $25.00 savings bond from a <br />bank. <br /> <br />The Committee will place a plaque or monument at the entrance <br />to the historic cemetary. A copy of the original deed to the <br />cemetary with an easement for access, has not been located. Mayor <br />Cox informed Mrs. James the airport is improving a roadway so that <br />entry can be made to the cemetary. Mrs. James also indicated that <br />the Committee does not want the trees cut in the cemetary as re- <br />quested by the airport people. ~ There will be a Bi-Centennial Com- <br />mittee meeting Sept. 30th at the Ramsey Elementary School in the <br />cafeteria at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The official Bi-Centennial meeting to designate the City of Ramsey <br />as a Bi-Centennial community and the presentation of the official <br />flag by Lt. Gov. Perpich will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19th at <br />7:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Elementary School, in the cafeteria. <br /> <br />Request ~ ~. A discussion was held on the <br />turning lanes, also a discussion on the stockpiling of the removea <br />dirt instead of paying $7500 to move it, was held. It was decided <br />that the City would take care of this instead of the contractor. <br />Motion by Reimann seconded by M~ckelson to open bids on Oct. 6, <br />1975. Carried 5 to O. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to approve the plans of <br />Project Number 75-1 and the turning lanes on Highway i7, all part <br />of the 155rd Avenue improvement project.
