going to give a triangle of land to the owners of a house on High-
way No. 5. Question was asked "Who is going to pay for the survey
of the additional land?" Land is scheduled for closing on Sept.
15th. We need to establish a fund for damages liability for ground
water pollution. We will ask the State of Minnesota about this matter.
There has been a discussion with the State Highway Department regard-
ing left and right turn lanes to handle traffic on #47 at 153rd Ave.
Cost would be about $13,000. If the State would pay for half of it,
it will then cost Ramsey $6,500. We will have 10,OOO yards excess
material when 153rd is built. This will be an excellent chance for
us if we have parks in need of this material.

~r. Sha: Said staff people from the surrounding communities have
been meeting every two weeks on the CAB interceptor. Mr. Sha read
his position paper on this matter. The earliest possible date for
the interceptor would be four years from now. It would be paid for
75% federal, 15% state and 10% lc~.~& money.

Mr. Walker: Mr. Reimann moved we appoint Mr. Donald Walker as Clerk~
Treasurer for the City of Ramsey. Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. Motion
carried unanimously. The effective date would be the date this or-
dinance is published.

Hedstrom Electric: He wants a variance to sell 25 feet of his pro-
perty between theWtwo buildings to the Grosslein Beverage Co. so
they can blacktop it for the use of their trucks. Mr. Hedstrom is
not using this property. Mr. Gotham moved we grant Hedstrom Electric
a variance to convey title of 25 feet on the east side of their
present building to the Grosslein Beverage Co. as this land is be-
tween the two commercial buildings and should have no adverse effect
on any surrounding property. Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Motion carried
unanimously.

R & O Sales: They requested an extension of time on their Wild
River EstatEs plat in view of the present economic situation. We
also have a request from Seth Lindsey, owner of this property re-
questing this extension. Mr. Steffen thinks a six month extension
for this plat is too long at this time. He would go along with a
three month extension with a proviso that a final plat would not
be accepted at the end of the three months. Sept. 24th is the due
date on this plat. Mr. Walker said he would like to look at this
plat first. This will be reviewed at the next meeting. Mr. Reimann
asked R & O Sales, Mr. Campion, about the two islands that had been
promised the City at the time this plat was first brought in. Mr.
Campion said he would check into this.

John Carex~ 165~1 Zirconium St. N.W. His driveway needs a culvert
and he said he was not going to put one in. He is second owner of
this property. His house was built three years ago. Mr. Walker
suggested that he and Mr. Mevissen go out to inspect this problem
before giving an answer.

John Sa~er~ 6915 - 164th Lane N.W.: Occupancy permit. He suggested
