REGULAR MEETING OF CITY OF RAMSEY COUNCIL July 28, 1975 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Cox. Present were Mr. Gorham, Mr. Reimann, Mr. Mickelson and Mrs. Oliphant. ~itizen Input: John Schutz said he wanted to know what the "war" between the Council members was about. Mayor Cox referred to two recent lawsuits in which the Clerk, Mayor and two Council members have been sued. Agenda Approval: Mr. Stewart wants to be on the agenda for the dommunity S6hOOl on Aug. llth and therefore this item will be taken off the agenda for tonite. Mr. Reimann moved we accept the a~enda for July 28th as amended. Seconded by Mr. Gorham. Motion carrie~ unanimously. Approval of Minutes: Mrs. Oliphant said, in'view of the serious- ness of the meeting on July 23rd at &:O0 ~.m. and the absence of the tapes of the special meeting on July l&th, she does not feel she can approve the minutes and ~he so moved. Mr. Cox asked three times if there was a second to this motion. - There was no second to this motion and the motion died for lack of a second. Mrs. Oliphant does not think she made an objection to the price of the land for the municipal building at the July l&th meeting. ~r. Gor- ham moved the June 23rd &:O0 minutes be transcribed verbatim from the tapes. Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Motion carried unanimously. It was suggested that Sue Thompson could do this job. ~Mlnutes from meeting at 8:00 p.m. on June 23rd, 1975: On page & item #2 will be changed to $15,000 total instead of per acre. Mr. Reimann moved we approve the June 23rd 8:00 p.m. meeting with this change on page &. Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. Motion carried unani- mously. ~Minutes from meeting on June 9, 1975: There is an omission here stated by Mr. Cox. This correction will be made from the tapes. ~pecial ~eeting on June 26th, 1975; Mrs. Oliphant stated she wants this transcript verbatim also. Mr. Mickelson moved we approve the minutes of June 26th. Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Mr~Cox., Mr. Gor- ham, Mr. Reimann and Mr. Mickelson voted yes. Mrs.~Oliphant voted no because she hasn't had the tapes. Motion carried. ~inutes of July 14, 1975: On page 2 - the Committee on Personnel and Management was to review the candidates and select those with the best qualifications and set up a meeting with the Council to interview them. Mrs. Oliphant requested that that portion of the minutes relating to purchase of the municipal site be transcribed from the tapes. Mr. Reimann moved to accept the July l&th minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. Mr. Cox, Mr. Gorham, Mr. Reimann and Mr. Mickelson voted yes. Mrs. Oliphant voted no. The motion carried.
