PUBLIC HEARING
Rezoning - Golden Eagles Estates

CITY OF RAMSEY COUNCIL
May 20, 1975

The hearing was called to order by Mayor Cox at 9:00 p.m. Present
were Mr. Gorham, Mr. Reimann, Mr. Mickelson and Mrs. Oliphant.

The subject of the hearing is a request by Mr. A1 Fulton for rezon-
lng Lots 6 and 7 in Block i in Golden Eagles Estates Addition. Mr.
Fulton was asked to describe the location of these lots on the
plat. Mr. Fulton stated that these lots were zoned commercial in
April of 1973 and that when the zoning ordinance was passed in May
of 1973 this zoning was inadvertantly left off the new zoning map.
Mr. Sorteberg, Chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission was
present. Mr. Cox asked Mr. Sorteberg about this and he stated it
was true that these two lots had been zoned commercial just before
the new plan was adopted. Mrs. Oliphant wanted~bo see the minutes
containing this information. She was shown the minutes containing
the zoning of these two lots to commercial.

Mr. Cox asked the Council if they had any questions. Mr. Gorham
said apparently this was an oversight when the new zoning plan was
adopted. If this is the case, he see s no reason why these two
lots should not be zoned commercial.

Mrs. Oliphant said that would be double frontage lots and they are
illegal. She said that according to our subdivision ordinance double
frontage lots cannot come out on Variolite St. Mr. Gorham thinks
this applies only to residential. Mr. Cox said this point was dis-
cussed very thoroughly before these two lots were zoned commercial.
Mr. Reimann moved we render a decision on this rezoning on June 9th
at our regular Council meeting, wherever it will be held at 7:30
p.m. Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Reimann moved we adjourn the hearing. Seconded by Mr. Gorham.
Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.

Respectfully subm' tted,
Clerk
