- ~ - C.P.H.5/20/75 <br /> <br />Mr. Carson said Planning & Zoning had looked at this sketch plan <br />several times and that the Council had looked at it several times. <br />Mr. Cox corrected him stating this was the first time the Council <br />had considered this sketch plan except for the time they set the <br />hearing on it as recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />Mr. Cox said we could hire a planner and spend up to three years <br />or .more and spend thousands of dollars. Mr. Carson feels they <br />have done a complete preparation and given enough input to give' <br />a decision on it by the Council and now they want a decision. <br />Mr. Reimann said he would be in favor of continuing this hearing <br />until the time questions on roads and bridge in this area are <br />solved and until we have more information. Mr. Reimann moved we <br />set June 23rd as the date to continue this hearing, at 7:00 p.m. <br />at the City Hall. No second to this motion and the motion died. <br />Mrs. Oliphant thinks Mr. Carson is entitled to an answer and thinks <br />we should close this hearing and make a decision. Mr. Reimann <br />asked Mr. Carson what they would do if the Plan was accepted. He <br />also asked what they would do if it is denied. Mr. Carson said if <br />it was accepted they would proceed to put in the primary and final <br />plats and then start on the roads. If it was denied they would <br />start checking into other uses for the land. <br /> <br />Mr. Gotham said if we are going to continue this hearing to another <br />time, we should have enough time to get the answer and he doesn't <br />feel June 23rd gives us enough time. If we move on it quickly, he <br />feels it would be an injustice to both the City and to the developer. <br />Mr. Carson said he doesn't feel we will have any more information <br />four months from now. <br /> <br />Mrs. Oliphant moved we make a decision on the Carson-Holm plat at <br />the May 27th meeting. No second to this motion and it died. <br /> <br />Mr. ~ickelson moved we give Carson-Holm a definite decisien on <br />this sketch' plan on'June 23rd at our regular Council meeting where- <br />ever it is held, at 7:30 p.m. Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Carson asked if there was any more information the Council would <br />like to have them present prior to that meeting. Mrs. Oliphant <br />asked if we had elevations on this plat. Mr. Carson said they will <br />supply topographical information. Mr. Cox requests no additional <br />information on this plat as presented. Mrs. Oliphant said we will <br />make a decision on just what was presented. <br /> <br />Mr. Reimann moved the hearing be closed. Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. <br />Motion carried unanimously.
