Rezoning South of .Highway 10: Mr. ~Goodrich showed two maps to the
~udience and described the land under discussion for rezoning.
Mr. Cox said many of the land owners concerned w~ed the zoning
left as it is at present. Mr. Gorham feels the land lying north
of Highway l0 should stay as it is zoned at present. He doesn't
feel &O0 feet is conducive to good zoning as it isn't enough land
and west of Sunfish Lake Blvd. it should be left in its present
zoning. Mr. Cox would support just the area of change to be east
of Sunfish Lake Blvd. Mr. BUlow, whose land is east of Sunfish
Lake Blvd., wants his zoning left as it is now. Mrs. Oliphant wants
the area west of Sunfish Lake Blvd. left as it is, rezone the area
east of Sunfish Lake Blvd. south of Highway l0 for 275 feet with
the exception of Anoka International, and Grosslein be given a non-
conforming use and also Hedstrom Electric. Mr. Reimannmoved we
hold a public hearing to rezone the property'e~st ~ Bulo~ ~75 feet
south of Highway lO to the river to r-1 not to include the commer-
cial property already in use in this area. Seconded by Mr. Mickel-
son. Mr. Merle Anderson feels the way they are proposing to rezone
it is not responsible. He wants the zoning put back the way it was
long before Grosslein built. He wants Mr. Reimann to reconsider
his motion. Mrs. Oliphant reminded the Council that Planning and
Zoning Commission recommended the zoning desired by Mr. Anderson
and it carried unanimously. Mr. Reimann rescinded his motion and
Mr. Mickelson withdrew his sebb~d to' the '~otion.

Mr. Reimann moved we direct the attorney to prepare a legal descrip-
tion for amending from b-2 zoning classification to an r-1 classif-
ication the following property: all that pEoperty east of the pre-
sent Bulow property line and south of the R/W of Highway l0 EXCEPT_
ING the following property which is to remain in a b-2 zone; the
property east of the Bulow property line lying between the R/W line
of Highway l0 and a line drawn 275 feet south of Highway l0 R/W
line and including all commercial property on which there is an
existing commercial use which may fall outside the above described
275 foot wide strip of land. The attorney is further directed to
publish notice of a public hearing and notify adjacent land owners
pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance~of this pending action and the time
and place of the public hearing. Seconded by Mr.~Mickelson. Mr.
Cox, Mr. Gorham, Mr. Reimann and Mr. Mickelson voted yes and Mrs.
Oliphant voted no. Motion carried. Mr. Anderson strenuously op-
poses anything commercial being built on any additional property
that Grosslein owns.

Mr. Gotham moved we set a date of May 12, 1975 at 6:~5 p.m. for a
public heari~ 'dh the Highway l0 south rezoning question at the
at the Ramsey Elementary School. Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. Motion
passed unanimously.

Mr. A1 Fulton; Presented plan for a building on commercial lots
6 and 7 in Block i in Golden Eagles Estates Addition. It could
have a grocery store, liquor store, barber shop, etc. J Lot~7 has
36 parking spaces with one entrance on the south of Lot 7.
