They will be going back to <br />Planning & Zoning Commission to seek amended zoning to commercial <br />because when the Zoning Ordinance was adopted, all previous zoning <br />was invalidated. <br /> <br />There will be a combined meeting of the Council and t~e Planning & <br />Zoning Commission Monday, April 21st, 1975 at 7:00 p.m. to review <br />zoning and subdivision matters. <br /> <br />Metro Sewer Waste Control Commission: Mr. Sha: There are three <br />~ocuments' ~ hav~ 'to ~spond'to, C'A~ Report, Waste Management, and <br />Policy Plan, within 30 days. The Metro Council's population projec- <br />tion for the year 2030 is 1~,9OO. This would mean Ramsey would only <br />have 8,000 additional residents in the next 50 years. Ramsey has <br />already exceeded the MC population projection for 1985. The public <br />hearing on this CAB report will be held May 13th at 7:30 p.m. in the <br />Anoka City Hall. This report can be used by the City of Ramsey to <br />the MWCC. They are using sewer sizes to control development. Un- <br />dersizing sewers does not limit development, in Mr. Sha's opinion. <br />No formal action was taken, but Mr. Sha was directed to prepare a <br />response to the Metro Council's proposal. <br /> <br />Stull Addition: They will have their abstract brought up to date <br />aHd 'giVen ~oour attorney for review. The matter will be placed <br />on the next regular meeting agenda. <br /> <br />Bertha Mae Smith: Wants a subdivision ordinance variance on divid- <br />ing 20 acres into four parcels of 5 acres each. She will pay the <br />park fee instead of donating park land. Discussion on this variance. <br />No formal action taken. <br /> <br />Recess at 11:05 to 11:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Cable & Runyon: They want to rezone lO acres south of the City <br />'H~l'l from ihHustrial to commercial for a large supermarket and some <br />smaller stores. Discussion on this matter. No decision. <br /> <br />Landfill: Mr. Steffen recommended we send a letter to Mr. Fields <br />concerning the Anoka Landfill site. Mrs. Oliphant moved that the <br />Anoka County Comprehensive Health Board req~ire ground Water mon- <br />itoring and other operating procedures in accordance with the re- <br />commendations and requests set forth in a letter dated January~to <br />Mr. Edward Fields, Chairman of the Anoka County Comprehensive Health <br />Board and that upgrading-o~ 'She moni~0ring requirements and other <br />recommendation~ as set forth in that~lette~ be accomplished through <br />changes in ordinance or permit requirements prior to issuance of a <br />license or permit to operate the Anoka landfill after July l, 1975. <br />Seconded by Mr. Gorham. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Police Personnel Rules: Mr. Steffen explained the basic rules and <br />compens%'~ion. No action requested now. <br /> <br /> <br />
