Mr. Fields said <br />he and Mr. Clawson could not serve the people unless they hear <br />from them. <br /> <br />Mr. Reimam~asked what sort of plan for parks does the State have? <br />Are they going to take land away from our tax base? Minneapolis <br />residents come out to use our parks and there should be some re- <br />imbursement for this. <br /> <br />Mr. Clawson said there is a big bonding program for swamps and <br />lowlands by the Department of Natural Resources. <br /> <br />Mr. Fields said there is a limit on how much park land we should <br />have. They are having serious trouble with teenagers, etc. in <br />Columbia Heights Park, Lake George Park, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Holasek feels parks should be purchased with the consent of <br />the local governments. MC makes decisions without local input <br />and then local government has to enforce the MC laws.
