Case #16: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance for Street Name Changes to 145th Avenue and 146th <br />Avenue within Sunfish Lake Estates <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson advised this ordinance is eligible for adoption. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to adopt Ordinance <br />04-12 to rename 145th Avenue NW and 146th Avenue NW within the Sunfish Lake Estates <br />subdivision to 146th Lane NW and 147th Avenue NW, respectively. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councihnember Cook absent <br />Councilmember Elvig aye <br />Councilmember Kurak aye <br />Counci hnember Pearson aye <br />Councilmember Strommen aye <br />Councihnember Zimmennan aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #17: Report from Public Works <br /> <br />Councihnember Zimmerman reported the Public Works Committee met on Tuesday, March 16, <br />2004 and discussed the following two cases. <br /> <br />Case #1) Consider Establishing Vision Clearance Triangle into City Code <br /> <br />This was acted on under Case 11. A motion was made to recommend that the City Council <br />introduce the ordinance with the provision that existing properties will be handled on a case by <br />case basis. <br /> <br />Case #2) <br /> <br />Consider Placement of Stop Sign on Unity Street at Intersection with <br />McKinley Street <br /> <br />A request was received for the placement of a stop sign for south bound Unity Street at its <br />intersection with McKinley Street. Accident history, traffic volumes, and sight distance were <br />reviewed. A motion was made to recommend that the City Council authorize the posting of a <br />stol) sign on the north leg of the intersection o£McKinley and Unity Street. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Public Works Committee for Case 1 and Case 2. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Elvig, Kurak, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None.
