He stated he accepts this badge and <br />retires fi'om the City of Ramsey, but he knows he will always have a family in the department. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc stated the City is very fortunate to have all the firefighters in this City and Dale <br />will be missed. He thanked Dale's family for all their support of him. <br /> <br />Counci hnembcr Pearson stated he has worked with the firefighters from day one, and the City of' <br />Ramsey is proud to have them. Their wives and families all give so much, and they are a super <br />group to work with. He stated it has been a privilege to have been a small part of the Fire <br />Department. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Ed Hamilton, 6615 Highway 10, asked if there have been any decisions about the blacktop smell. <br />He stated last Thursday afternoon at about 3:00 the smell was back again (w/regard to <br />rom mcrcial Asphalt). <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied staff has been monitoring the smell and the Council will receive a report in <br />30 to 60 days. <br /> <br />Counci hnembcr Strommen indicated there will be a discussion of this issue on the next Council <br />agenda. <br /> <br />Mr. ttamilton stated he is not happy with the book store, and he does not feel he should have to <br />pick up their trash. Cardboard boxes that are not even broken down have been blowing into his <br />(Hamilton's) yard. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc indicated Mr. Hamilton should notify Public Works Director Kapler regarding this <br />situation. <br /> <br />Troop Leader of Boy Scout Troop 318 of Anoka announced they are here to see how Council <br />meetings work. He thanked the Mayor, the Council, and the Fire Department for allowing them <br />to use this room one night last year, and also for letting them use Central Park while their church <br />was being remodeled. <br /> <br />Thc boy scouts introduced themselves and explained they are currently working tonight for their <br />"Citi×c,aship in Community" badge. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc commented on how beneficial his time in the boy scouts was. <br /> <br />Eugene Knutson, 804 - 154th Lane NW, stated there is a young fellow in their area that drives his <br />motorcyclc and the noise is so loud you cannot even hear your TV. He asked if the Council can <br />do anything about this. They have contacted the Police Department many times.
