Memo <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />April 30, 2004 <br /> <br />Ramsey Planning Commission <br /> <br />Community Development Staff <br /> <br />Staff Update <br /> <br />CASE #: <br /> <br />Ramsev Town Center: <br />At their April 27, 2004 meeting, the City Council entered into a Park Development Plan with <br />Ramsey Town Center LLC as required by the Master Development Agreement. The Plan details <br />the improvements to the three large City-owned parks within the Town Center and describes <br />improvements to be undertaken in the Downtown Commons area in the core of the Town Center. <br />The Park Commission and Staff have been working on the park issues since last fall. At the <br />same meeting, the Council awarded the contract to begin construction of Sunwood Drive and <br />utilities thru the Town Cen~er. Work should begin in early May. Finally, the Town Center Won <br />top honors for Community Impact award from the Minnesota Business Journal. Staff has <br />attached the article announcing the award. <br /> <br />Past Planning Commission Cases: <br />In the month of April, the City Council took action on the following Planning Commission cases: <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Plat and Site Plan Approval; Case of Dave Shulte. The City <br />Council approved the preliminary plat and site plan for the Rivenwick 4th Addition~ The City <br />Council discussed the sound mitigation issue and approved the use of an 8 foot and 10 foot <br />fence within designated areas along Highway #10. <br /> <br />Proposed Amendments to the Mixed Use Planned Unit Development District (MU- <br />PUD): Case of City of Ramsey. The City Council approved amendments to the MU-PUD <br />district with language changed to state that no property can be developed with more than <br />75% of one use. <br /> <br />· Request for Final Plat Review of Alpine Acres 2nd Addition Case of Oak <br /> Creek Builders, The City Council approved the final plat for Alpine Acres 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Highway 10. The City Council adopted several ordinances related to officially mapping <br />Highway 10 and implementing a new zoning district. The City Council took action on the <br />following: <br /> · Adopted ordinance establishing an Official Map' Ordinance <br /> · Adopted ordinance zoning properties Officially Mapped <br /> · Adopted ordinance establishing an H-1 Highway 10 District <br /> · Adopted ordinance zoning properties to <br /> <br />· Adopt Ordinance to Amend Landscape Requirements in the B-1 Business, B-2 <br /> Business, E-I Employment, and E-2 Employment Zoning Districts. <br /> <br />123 <br /> <br /> <br />
