Councihnember Zimmerman asked about the input the Committee requested from the Finance <br />Officer. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson replied the Finance Officer indicated 1.55 million dollars <br />is available for this project if the Council were to determine to use all the remaining balance of <br />the Oak Park Fund. The total estimated cost is 1.21 million dollars. The estimates put forward <br />assume the worst case scenarios. <br /> <br />Councihnember Cook stated he does not mind two different bids, but it should be left open to <br />colnplete the project in one building season. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig noted only 12 inches of topsoil are needed, not the 36 inches that was <br />originally estimated, but the cost of the 36 inches is still included in the estimate. The actual <br />costs will likely be lower than the estimate. He asked if the specifications regarding the topsoil <br />would be outlined clearly. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson replied the City has the ability to change things as they <br />see fit with the soil conditions. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to authorize solicitation <br />of bids for Ehncrest Park hnprovements City Project #04-20. The base bid will include the items <br />identified in the moderate proposal, with the remainder of the work bid as an alternate. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Cook, Elvig, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The ~nceting was recessed at 8:32 p.m. and reopened at 8:42 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Request for Sketch Plan Review for a Commercial/Retail Portion of the <br />Ramsey Town Center; Case of Ramsey Town Center, LLC <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon explained this is the sketch plan review <br />of thc third phase of Ramsey Town Center. After meeting with the Town Center Review Board <br />substantial positive changes have been made to the plan. At the last Planning Commission <br />meeting the Commission approved the plan subject to the conditions in the staff review letter. <br />The Town Center Task Force also approved of this plan. <br /> <br />Keith McDonald, President of Shingobee Builders, stated they have had a great working <br />relationship with the City and are here to answer any questions of the Council. <br /> <br />Councihnember Kurak questioned if a liner is proposed for the pond. <br /> <br />Mi'. McDonald replied more than likely a liner will be needed.
