The 2003 meeting locations were:

May
June
July
August
September
October

Sunfish Lake Park
River's Bend Park with City Council
Elmcrest Park
Woodland Green Park
Alpine Park
Central Park

Other locations could also be considered. In case of inclement weather the location would be
moved to the City Council Chambers at Fire Station #1. The Commission had also discussed
starting all meetings at 6:30 p.m. to allow more time for people to get to the meetings after work.

Chairperson Johns stated she thought the Commission had not visited Woodland Green Park in
2003 due to a schedule change. She indicated she wanted Woodland Green Park to be one of the
locations visited this year.

Chairperson Johns asked if there would be anything to review at Alpine Park by the fall or if the
visit should be postponed until the following year.

Parks and Utilities Supervisor Riverblood responded the Commission might only see moved dirt;
however, on the other hand, the changes could be more substantial.

Commissioner Lehman asked if the Alpine Park visit should be scheduled in September, which
would be one of the last outdoor visits.

Chairperson Johns agreed that September would be an appropriate time to schedule the visit to
Alpine Park.

Chairperson Johns noted a joint meeting with Council was scheduled in June.

Parks and Utilities Supervisor Riverblood responded the precedence was that the June meeting
would be a joint meeting with Council and he thought that would be a good time to discuss the
elements of the master trail plan.

Parks and Utilities Supervisor Riverblood indicated the bid for the shelter and irrigation system
at Flint~vood Terrace Park would be ready for Council approval at its last meeting in April and
construction would occur in June or July, if Council approved.

Chairperson Johns suggested the Commission visit Flintwood Terrace Park for its August
meeting.

Commissioner Lehman asked regarding the improvements to Riverdale Park.

Principal City Engineer Olson suggested the Commission schedule Riverdale Park for October,
in case an outdoor meeting was held then.

Park and Recreation Commission/April 8, 2004
Page 14 of 21
