Commissioner Shryock asked if a motion should be made to take the funds from the Lawful <br />Gambling Fund. <br /> <br />Principal City 'Engineer Olson responded the budget was passed for the current year. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lehman indicated the Commission would need to be sure the needed supply was <br />available for each year. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shryock, seconded by Commissioner Olds, to direct staff to reorder <br />500 tree books, not to exceed a cost of $1,400 to $1,500, with the funds coming from the Lawful <br />Gambling Fund, and to search for a new funding source in the future. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Shryock, Olds, LaMere, <br />Lehman, and Pontius. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Ostrum. <br /> <br />Discussion followed regarding the information that would be available at the Expo booth. <br /> <br />The following information would be available on the display board: · Large color map of Ramsey's parks and trails. <br /> · Outdoor meeting schedule. <br /> · Neighborhood Park District Map. <br /> <br />The following information would be available to Expo participants: · A five-year plan overview and a few copies of the 2004/2005 CIP projects. <br /> · Aerial view photobook. <br /> · Town Center Park information/renditions. <br /> · Alpine Park rendition, if complete. <br /> · Master Trail Plan, if complete. <br /> · Lawful Gambling Grant Program/Applications. <br /> · Applications for summer help, if needed. <br /> · Information regarding the new lawn fertilizer law. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lehman asked if information would be available regarding the swimming <br />discount discussed at the last Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton responded the deadline for Ramsey residents was the following day, <br />which was April 9. However, information was received from the swimming pool that would be <br />placed in mailboxes over the next few weeks. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns suggested that information could be included in the booth. <br /> <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton noted the consultant had almost completed the plans for Elmcrest Park <br />and the next step would be to bring to Council for review.
