Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson,
Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting no: None.

Discussion regarding the name plate for the City hall. Administrator
Schnelle to check and see if this isn't something that was to have been
provided in conjunction with the construction of the building.

CITIZEN'S INPUT

There was no response to Citizen's Input.

NOTE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

The minutes of the City's Commissions were received and acknowledged by
the City Council.

DISCUSSION WITH ART RAUDIO REGARDING THE CONTRACT FOR LAND ACQUISITION

Mr. Raudio was asked to attend the Council meeting to review the status
of the contract for land acquisition between the City of Ramsey and himself.

Attorney Goodrich reported that he met with Mr. Raudio's attorney and he
reviewed the variance areas that Mr. Raudio is requesting with the Council.

Mr. Raudio discussed the right of way area and easements. He said he needs
to know exactly how much right of way is needed so that he isn't left with
a piece of land so small that he can't do anything wi~h it. He doesn't
mind giving as much easement as needed but in the critical area he would like
to have the amount needed studied before he gives the easement. He has not
had a chance to study this area yet.

Councilman Cox stated that it is necessary that this be resolved now and
that he may be limited more than anyone realizes with DNR regulations as
to what he could do with the land and the Council should take the easement
at this time, whatever is reasonable and if there are some variances that
can be given so that this is a usable piece of land they should be given.

Mr. Raudio would like the County Engineer or someone to determine whether
all of the right of way is needed.

Councilman Cox said the City is concerned about getting funding money and
therefore must get going on this now to meet the deadline on the grant
application. Any land taken for easement that isn't needed will revert
back to the property owner.

Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to authorize
the Mayor to execute the agreement and present it to the Ramsey Center
Partnership.

Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and Sorteberg.
Voting no: None. Motion carried.
Regular Meeting
Council/J~n~ary 8, 1980/Page 2
