Weaver and M~. Weaver were both present.
M~. Edwards stated that his client wants to subdivide his 24.99 acre parcel
located in part of the West 50 rods of the Southwest Quarter of the North-
west Quarter of Section 15, Township 32, Range 25 into three parcels as
follows:

a) a 12.99 acre parcel
b) a 6 acre parcel and
c) a 6 acre parcel

Council stated it did not oppose the subdivision as long as 27' feet in
addition to the existing 33' right-of-way along the West line of parcel
would be dedicated for roadway. It is the Council's position that Jarvis
Street will someday become a major thoroughfare and hence the need for
the additional right-of-way. The developer stated that the additional
27' would put the right-of-way too close to existing buildings and that
this then restricted the sale of the property. The Council and the
Developer and Attorney discussed at length the pros and cons of requiring
the additional 27' right-of-way and as a compromise the following motion
was made:

Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Cox to approve
the metes and bounds subdivision as presented contingent upon receipt of
the park dedication fee and receipt of an easement for roadway purposes
over and across the West 50' of the premises (17' in addition to the exist-
ing 33' already used for Jarvis Street).

Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson and
Sorteberg. Voting no None.

The Council recessed from 9:00 to 9:22 P.M.

HOME MORTGAGE FINANCE PROGRAMS

Del Skeim was present to discuss this matter with the Council.

C/March 11, 1980
Page 3
