Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Cox. Voting no-None. Councilman Mickelson abstained. <br /> <br />2) Public Hearing Regarding Street (158th & Kamacite) of May 13, 1980 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to approve the <br />minutes of the public hearing of May 13, 1980. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann and <br />Cox. Voting no-None. Councilman Mickelson abstained. <br /> <br />3) Board of Review Minutes of May 12, 1980 <br /> <br />The Board of Review Minutes of May 12, 1980 were tabled until the first <br />meeting in June when all the Board of Review Minutes would be approved <br />together. <br /> <br />4) Regular Council Meeting of May 19, 1980 <br /> <br />Approval of the Regular Council Meeting Minutes of May 19, 1980 was tabled <br />because they were not finished in time to be included. <br /> <br />NOTES BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he received a request from the Ramsey Athletic Association <br />in regards to getting bases over at the school. Mr. Dennis Donovan of the <br />association got price quotes and the cost will be around $200 and the association <br />is asking for $250 to give them leeway. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the money for the equipment shoUld come out <br />of Surplus Funds. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox suggested the city get an additional hockey rink because of <br />more kids getting involved in hockey. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the price for another rink is $20,000 for just the materials, <br />lighting and posts. Last year it was $15,000 and the biggest increase was <br />for the lighting. He said it was suggested that it be built temporary so <br />that it can be transferred to a new facility. He suggested having the <br />Street Superintendent Merle Mevisson get another total cost on the rink. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he didn't think the council should wait if it is going to <br />do it. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said they are not getting the use out of the pleasure rink that <br />they do out of the hockey rink. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to direct <br />Street Superintendent Mevisson to prepare cost for another hockey rink and <br />document for the next regular council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
