Comacilman Cox said the police don't have to wait until 10:00 p.m. to do some- <br />thing about these parties and he suggested advising people they will be cited <br />if this happens. <br /> <br />Mr. John Borg, 15817 Radium Circle <br /> <br />Mr. Borg expressed concern about coming home after a weekend away %o find <br />beer cans and debris in his yard and he has to pick it up. He said he thought <br />somebody but the neighbors should talk to the people responsible for these <br />parties. <br /> <br />Mr. Becker said these parties are a bad example for the children. One party <br />started at 4:30 p.m. He said he has had mail boxes clipped off by cars racing <br />from these parties. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann suggested calling the police when these events happen. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to direct the <br />Ramsey Police Department to hand-deliver a letter to the party who is responsible <br />for any parties which are offensive to the neighbors. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich suggested putting up "no parking" signs also. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Comncilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann directed that a copy of the letter to the p~rty responsible <br />for the parties complained about tonight be sent to Mr. Becker at 6010 Radium Circle. <br /> <br />Mr. Dick Miller, 7600 - 150th Lane <br /> <br />Mr. Miller explained that the City Engineer said it is up to Jack Menkveld, <br />the developer, to restore the property left at the cul-de-sac by his property. <br />He said the weeds are a foot high and he should take the rocks out of there. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said this shot~ld have been done last fall, but Mr. <br />Menkveld got an extension until June 1, 1980. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to direct staff <br />to tell developer, Jack Menkveld, to finish restoration within two weeks. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Comncilman Sorteberg to institute <br />vacation proceedings for the cul-de-sac at 7600 - 150th Lane N.W. at the <br />city's cost because there are two or three others involved, including <br />Mr. Gary Quick, 7620 - 150th Lane N.W., who was present at'the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />John Tousley, 5201 - 155th Ave. N.W. <br /> <br />Mr. Tousley read a letter in regards to his request for a variance for the purpose <br />of having the City Council reconsider his request for a variance on his <br /> <br />C/June 10, 1980 <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
