Voting yes-Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Mickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />NOTE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle asked the council to review the Plar~ning & Zoning <br />Commission Minutes of June 2, 1980 for their comments on housing size require- <br />ments for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />LETTER AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />Councilman Cox commented that the letter to Commander Gary Mau was very good. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox, in regards to the letter to Mr. James Gilbgrtson about the size <br />of his sign advertising Discount 10 Liquors, which is in violation of Ordinance <br />Number 170.054, asked who measured the sign and who complained about it. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said that a city staff member noted the problem. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said if three members of the City Council voted to enforce a city <br />ordinance in a certain manner, then it is very inappropriate to do otherwise <br />and to single out one person and not do it for everyone. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle noted the letter he sent to Mr. Herbert Tousson <br />regarding zoning ordinance and public nuisance ordinance violations. He <br />explained he is sending a letter to ordinance violators after going out and <br />discussing the violations with them, plus he is sending a letter to the <br />complainants telling them what is being done. <br /> <br />Counci~nan Cox commented on the letter'to Mr. Ed Fields on the city's <br />disagreement with the way Anoka County handled Waste Management of Mirnnesota, <br />Inc.'s violations at the Ramsey Landfill. He said he talked withMr. Ed Fields <br />and Ed indicated to him that the letter stating the county did not feel any <br />ordinance violations have occurred at the landfill was not supposed to have <br />gotten to Mr. Otter~ but in no way did they let Mr. Otter off the hook. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle was directed to request Mr. Ed Fields to send <br />the City Council a letter affirming the County's position on this matter. <br /> <br />O/June 10, 1980 <br /> Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
